Still, 2.99 is amazing, I can afford to get more stuff on a monthly basis now. Shazam! #1 drop yet? I really, really want to read a new Captain Marvel comic.
Not to double post or anything but I got some new comics I wanted to chat about, and I figured since this place moves at a snail’s pace at times, it’d be alright.
So I read:
Batman: Dark Knight #1
Batman #703 (Not important, as it’s old but just got it)
Flash #7-8.
Probably other stuff but I don’t remember.
First Dark Knight. Despite some questionable stuff I enjoyed it, though the ending bothered me from an artistic stand point. Is there a rule to not use realistic guns that much in comics? Penguin strolls in and is like “Lol Batman, my bitches got advanced guns.”
They looked retarded, one had like four barrels and a sickle clip. Which that can hold anywhere from say 30-51 bullets if one is in the chamber. So that gun would run out of ammo in less than a second. Just dumb, they looked like 90’s Cable guns.
The only other gripe I had was the girl’s name, Dawn Golden. Just sounds stupid.
Flash is still great, although I hope this artist for the filler issues isn’t staying on come flash point, I really liked the previous artist and while this one isn’t bad, it’s just not as awesome. Boomer and Zoom’s origins were sweet, and the stories were well done and nice. Flash point is so hype right now for me.

Batman and Robin was dope this week. I like how the girl with the hole in head was finding holes in the current Batman and Robin dynamic. Hey symbolism in Batman and Robin I actually understood! I feel smart. 
JMS-Less Superman Grounded was better than JMS-Less Wonder Woman. Supes ended on a cliffhanger so I’ll be back next month at least.

I’ll check out the first issue and see how it is. Not playing the game because I can’t mess with those monthly fees and MMORPGs are just not my thing. Picking up Batman Arkham Asylum 2 on day one though, whenever that drops.

What the hell happened to Hawkman and Hawkgirl, and why is the ring taking a more…sinister tone with things lately? Anyone have an idea what the powering up effect is? At least their story was finished first, I didn’t like it as much as the others, even if the ending was pretty killer.
Batman vs. ninjas has been lol fun so far. Riddler and Reaper cropping up was just fun stuff, I love this comic.

Brightest Day and Flash are both fantastic series right now, are relatively new and have a lot of cool stuff going on beneath the cover.

Probably more I can’t really remember right now, late and all. Just give a list of characters you like and the people here can give you some great recommendations.
DCU Online Legends #1 was a lot of fun! For me these weeklies / bi-weeklies seem to fizzle out and I lose interest most of the time, but hopefully they can keep the momentum going. The story so far is being told from Luthor’s and Braniac’s perspectives which is a nice twist. Never played the game but it does flesh out the FMV trailer a bit more. I’ll be back for the next one in two weeks and hope it continues to entertain.
They were hyping it to me in the store, trying to get me to pick a copy up but I wasn’t much interested, most alternate time line things aren’t my bag.
I picked up: New Green Arrow (I flipped through it, looks awesome), BD, and something else I don’t quite remember. I’m kinda pissed Flash got pushed back, I thought it was out last week. Apparently it’s due in next week, UHG.
I have a feeling Flash will blow up like Green Lantern after Flash Point, I don’t know whether this is a good or bad thing. I like that Hal is considered rightfully a star candidate now, but he’s fucking everywhere and Lanterns saturate the market. If you aren’t reading every GL thing, you are lost, period.

This really can’t be real.
Superman was cool this week since it featured the new Wonder Woman and revealed how the rest of the DCU views her rebooted origin. Well at least partially or from Superman’s perspective. Nice!
Tomasi’s Batman and Robin dropped. It’s a little weird, but not Cornell weird and definitely NOT Morrison weird. Still I’ve enjoyed Tomasi’s Dick Grayson doring Nightwing and Blackest Night Batman so I’m still on board. It definitely won’t be the same book, but still entertaining like this issue was.
EDIT: Oh and the Flaming C showed up again on Conan’s show last night!
I think she’ll rock the new outfit…
