I have a feeling that Barbara is going to wear the tights again, because I think her suit may help her walk again, much like the Iron Man suit did for Tony Stark
Anyone know of any DC characters that have problems with relationships?
Well Kyle’s relationships all seem to end in them dying. Guy Gardner can’t seem to hold one. Catwoman gets jealous when Bats dates other people.
Did Selena ever see a therapist?
Why does that matter, and what is this for? Selina isn’t the type of woman who would go to one.
Man this comic shop is ticking me off, they can’t get in my orders and are always missing issues, and when I ask where they might be they just shrug and go back to catering to the magic players.
So I have Batman Beyond #6, but no #5 which is the only issue there missing. So the big spoil wasn’t shown for me, and I am reading a comic and have some holes that need to be plugged.

CW to adapt DC’s ‘Raven’ into series - Entertainment News, TV News, Media - Variety
Interesting…I never really liked Raven though.
I don’t think anyone is enough of a Raven fan to watch that.
It’s a DCU animated series, that’s an enough reason to watch it.
Is it animated? I haven’t slept in 20 hours, but I can’t see mention of it being animated. I assumed live action, since CW is scrambling to fill the vacuum of Smallville and wants a similar teen DC show.
A live action show based on a character who keeps her emotions in check just seems like a bad idea, she was never a big thing in the comics outside of Teen Titans, and her lack of a personality would be odd.
But then again, they’ll just do what they want really, so she’ll probably be a happy go lucky goth teen who fights crimes with Wiccan powers and has daddy issues.
OH YEAH, HATE!
I <3 you guys though.
Well to be fair I just assumed it’d be animated since it’d air on CW ^_^;
I mean seeing how Young Justice is doing and with a GL animated series next year, I can see them making an animated series about Raven, with focus being on the magical side of the DCU.
Why, for some bizarre reason did Buffy the Vampire Slayer pop in my head when I read that, lol. Though depending on how it’s handled it might come out right.
I sense no hate bro spreads his arms like an airplane’s wings and run around happy go lucky-like without a care in the world
We do too, bro.
Playing some Arkham Asylum I acquired some character bios of characters I never heard before. The Great White Shark was one that surprised me and I was expecting it to be a rip of Killer Croc before I looked at the profile. Design wise he reminded me of Black Mask.
Also saw Humpty Dumpty’s profile. I was surprised to see that he’s a fairly new character considering Mad Hatter and Tweedle Dum, and Tweedle Dee are old as heck. Anyone read any comics about these characters? What do you think of them?
Touche on all Tizoc, lol. I just assumed live action because when I think of CW/WB and DC, I think live action. We’ll see if it pans out, or if it’ll get an early cancel like The Grayson’s did.
They should just do a Smallville spin-off for Green Arrow or something.
@ Sensei: Great White Shark has a cool history, and he popped up in some graphic novel based on Arkham but I can’t remember which one. Humpty Dumpty is in the same GN, and is a fairly freaky character once things are revealed. I’m sure someone else here could help you better, sorry mang.
Great White Shark and Humpty Dumpty both appeared in Arkham Asylum: Living Hell, which was a 6 issue miniseries by Dan Slott and Ryan Sook.

I just reread this last week, actually. It’s quite good. Sook’s artwork is superb, and the story is fun. It isn’t really dark like you might think from the title; it’s more of a comedy. But I would say it’s one of Slott’s finest works, right up there with his Spider-Man/Human Torch miniseries and his first volume of She-Hulk.
I also have nothing but hate for this proposed Raven TV series, despite the fact that it is still early in its development and we have no information about its contents. I simply have no faith in humanity. If this show ever comes to fruition, it will suck. Mark my words.
So they’re actually good? I was skeptical on both especially Humpty Dumpty. He just sounds all gimmicky with him being obsessed of taking things apart and putting them back together again. He did do something disturbing by killing his grandma and stitching her back together. I guess he was a tribute to the the villains of Mad Hatter and the twins. I don’t get those kind of villains. Seems silly. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets one off of Bo Peep next.
Do y’all remember Babydoll from the Batman TAS? Why hasn’t she appeared in any comics?
Because Babydoll sucked, unlike Harley and to a very lesser extent, Livewire.
Also it’s a comic book, silly villains work. Although if I saw a fat, egg shaped man in real life stiching an old woman back together I wouldn’t fuck laugh and tell him he was lame Sensei.
? I thought Livewire appeared in comics? She appeared in JLU…or was that the 2000s Batman cartoon?
EDIT: Yup she did, it was during Gail Simone’s Superman run.
How did Babydoll suck, because she was a unique character a type that’s rarely seen among superhero stories?
I know…that is why I mentioned her with Harley…pay attention Tizoc!
Unlike those two, TAS for Batman and Superman had original lame villains.
Babydoll was a comedic play on old school mobsters, her kind has been done before many times in comics. She was introduced during the more kid-friendly Batman stuff to make Killer Croc not seem so scary through a Bonnie and Clyde style relationship, and to liven the show up. NTAS is significantly brighter than normal TAS, and for the most part that is the only purpose she served.
Also why am I explaining my opinion? If I think she suck, then I think she sucks, you can’t really argue that. Where is Zephy hate assist when you need it.
