DC Comics Thread

Basicly Grayson will be Gotham’s batman and he will be the main in Batman and Robin, Batman and i’m not sure about Detective
and Bruce will go international with all the heroes who appeared in the Club of Heroes arc back in the beginning of Morrison’s run

Oh you two made a fanboy happy, thank you. Is this the year of the Bat? Feels like a big step for our resident pre-prepper.

Ever since Morrison took over the title IMHO

I still need to read Batman & Son along with R.I.P. to make sense of some hanging plots from B&R and Batman.

Yeah well that’s the main problem with Morrison’s run you pretty much need to read ALL of it: Batman and Son the club of losers arc the three batmen arc and all the other stuff
but its hella worth it

Yeah, I do love his work, ever since I was younger when I started comics mainly on his JLA run. I still think mullet Superman is the shit.

Thanks for the information Darksoul, helps a bunch.

Sure anytime
oh and that’s pretty much all you need to read up to Batman and Robin and ROBW (copy/paste friom wikipedia)

Why thank you for that, helps a bunch in the searching department for sure.

Holy-bat-shit-on-Darkseid-ass-chick Batman and Robin #16
If there’s something close to a perfect issue this year, it’s this one

BNR#16

[details=Spoiler]Hurt getting owned by a banana was too fuckin’ awesome
Stewart art was in another level same with Irving
and pretty much everything came to a close [/details]

Best issue of the year? i think so

Gonna try and read Superman: Earth One this week…

Oh Secret Six, what a wonderful little comic you are. Catman is fast becoming my favorite DC person, which is something I never, ever would have thought I’d say. His dynamic with the team and in particular Deadshot is interesting. Plus he like, kicks all kinds of ass.

Think I have read everything except the first major team change and the Birds of Prey crossover.

Oh, does Suicide Squad currently have an ongoing or was it just revamped and canceled? Was interested in the current line-up for Heroclix purposes, a SS vs. S6 game with a friend once the new set hits.

BNR#16

Spoiler

Dude the banana peel made me laugh out loud on the train! Especially when I looked at the panel before the slip to see that it was there already!

It was there from #15 but i didn’t think Morrison will actuly use it

Picked up:

Brightest Day #13
Batman Beyond #4 (I think)
Battle for the Cowl TPB

Just been reading BftC really, pretty cool stuff…though Damien is a little different than what I am used to from B&R.

You didn’t think he’d use it? Seriously? Ever since the panels where Joker talked about it I knew it was going to be used eventually.
…but yeah #16 was ZOMGWTFAWESOME, especially the ending.

Oh and Damien will appear in an upcoming ep. of Brave and the Bold.

Wow, I wonder how they’ll handle that, pretty cool regardless.

Finished Battle for the Cowl, I rather enjoyed it, didn’t expect it to be so short though. Tony Daniel’s pencils are so nice. Friend is lending me R.I.P and some other arc, eventually I will make it to Batman and Son…odd reading this all out of order though.

Is there an expected end to Brightest Day? Or will DC continue it as long as it sells? I still love the book, except like most people I have preferences on which stories I like the best

Oh and is the Lex Luthor action comics still going on? I haven’t been able to find anything past the first two issues.

yeah, 894 is the latest issue
great read

Cool thank you, I’ll look for it again this weekend then.

Okay, so if Batman ends up being the White Lantern, not only will I shit bricks but I’ll also drop Brightest Day.

Nah, Bats’ too busy running a multinational super hero conglomerate.
