Mead! We must now consume vast quantities of mead!

Cool.I’m interested in Johns’ take on Batman also.Least it would be better than Frank"The Goddamn Batman"Miller.JMS writing Supes…hell yeah!!!

That looks hype…I’ll be looking for these.

Day one. Can’t wait!

Now all we need is a Earth One: JLA up to the quality of Millar/Hitch’s Ultimates, and we’ll be in business. And we won’t have to worry about delays since its a OGN that comes out twice a year

Do you dare question the GODDAMN BATMAN, he’ll break all the bones in your body and laugh afterwords, he’s fucking brutal!:annoy:

He made Hal eat a GODDAMM lemon ice-cream, brutal indeed

I have the hardcover that collected issues 1-9.I can’t even find #10.Did it come out & if so what happened?

I don’t remember where it left off but it’s on hiatus because of Jim Lee running his company and whatnot, just being hella slow on pencils. It’s still supposed to continue whenever he gets around to drawing it.

And I loved the GODDAMN BATMAN! It’s Batman who stopped aging mentally after his parents died, he’s still an eight year old boy on the inside. After someone explained that to me the book made a ton of sense.

LOL I figure that’s what your average SRKer would be like if he woke up as Batman one day.

JMS and Superman. Hell Fucking Yeah.

Bruce returns next year, but not before traveling through the entire course of human history. Pirate Batman looks admittedly badass.

Grant Morrison’s Batman epic is never gonna end at this rate, which fine by me

Pirate Batman! Cowboy Batman! Rorschach Batman! This is gonna be fucking awesome.

This going to be awesome
GO GO VIKING BATMAN

That’s great! We can have Batman Elseworld stories again, only now they will tie into everything else.

Jesus, I wish people would stop criticizing “Return of Bruce Wayne” as a rip off of “Captain America Reborn” already. This was telegraphed well over a year ago. We’ve known Bruce was trapped in the past since the end of Final Crisis, long before Reborn was released, and this is really the only logical conclusion to that story thread. I mean no disrespect to Bru’s opus, as it’s great in it’s own right, but by contrast, as far as we knew, Cap died when he was shot. They didn’t give any indication otherwise until much later, which was after FC ended.

More Batman news:
Andy Clarke will be the next artist for Batman and Robin after stewart

LOL well there are similarities. Only Batman’s traveling through time and Cap is traveling through his own body. I wouldn’t say a rip off or anything.

I mean both scenarios fit each character. I wouldn’t want to see Captain America as a pirate or a viking necessarily while Batman, has been interpreted in so many different ways through Elseworld stories that it would be fun to relive. Then again, seeing a Barbarian version of Captain America WAAAAY back in Uncanny X-Men when Kulan Gath made New York resemble the Hyborian Age was pretty cool. Still Cap doesn’t have the rich Elseworlds / Alternate version history that Batman does.

And as for Batman… Well Morrison says that ‘Every single Batman story you’ve ever read happened’ and it just wouldn’t be right for us to see Batman time travel in his body so we can… See him carry a gun, arrest gorilla people, call Robin ‘old chum’ and go after aliens? :looney: Morrison’s theory works better as a footnote and not something I want to see being relived, just an acknowledgement of whatever I read before still occured in some fashion. Cap has WW2 and of course there’s always going to be room to shed light on things, which is why Bru’s The Marvel Project is such a fun read.

Honestly both of these events are planned far in advance. So it is coincidence in a way. When you have creative people who have read and been influenced by the same things these things are going to happen. If there’s any ripping off going it’s more like them taking things someone else has done and spinning it a different way, which no one will ever admit to anyway, and stuff…

Oh, I agree with you completely, I don’t think either of the two are ripping each other off, I’m just frustrated with people who only look at the short term, which causes them to think that there is some ripping-offage going on.

I saw JSA allstars at my LCS, and thought about picking it up.Wanted to know whats the deal with it? Is it a new ongoing? Whats it about? Never read anything JSA or JLA and barely read any DC. Junt wanted to know some comic veterans thoughts.

I just wanna say that Secret Six, REBELS and Supes: World of New Krypton were my fav. series of 2009 :lovin:
