Db:ragingblast netcode has no lag

This post wins the thread.

Dr. B (not that shitty Tekken one) is lagless 24/7.

two frames is 3 milliseconds.

exaggerations :nono:

VF5 has very tight execution, tighter then Tekken 6- and top level Japanese players said outside of a tiny bit of advanced stuff, the game works great. So yeah, the whole you can’t use online to learn argument is BS.

Tekken 6 has the worst netcode of any game I’ve played this gen, except maybe KOF98UM. It’s real close between the two. Both of those were completely unplayable. Even KOFXII pre-patch was playable instate.

Agreed. People should play games that last I dunno… more than a month.

if the game is 60fps then shouldn’t each frame last about 16 milliseconds? if that’s true then 2 frames last about 32 milliseconds. someone correct me if i’m wrong but i’m sure this information popped up on the “buffer” request for 1 frame links on the ssf4 thread.

EDIT
maybe i just missed some online sarcasm?

You need another “This motherfucker…” rant vid about it. Gogogogo! :wonder:

Isn’t DB a button masher? Or in more friendly terms, a game where supers are two buttons? The game is probably easy to make good net code for, due to the simplicity of the system in general. I bet they can make a naruto game have just as good netcode as DBZ. But creating good netcode for something like Tekken is harder.

Just pick Eddy and start mashing

Then you would have to change your SRK name to" Da Boogieman"

But yeah that wouldn’t work offline or even on one of the (few and far between) better T6 connections.

Ah damn, you’re right. I always get milli- and centi- mixed up when time is being discussed for some reason.

in any case you have a lot more than one millisecond to hit 2

i wanna know too

Why aren’t you playing Budokai 3 or Infinite World???

I’ll money match you and ShadowAce in Infinite World. Seriously.

hei’s timing on his EWGF is 2 frame, kaz is 3, devil jin is 4

sorry… no exaggeration

but also this wasn’t that great of an example, if you input ewgf correctly on a system that just is using input delay it would still come out technically but ya… 2 frames for ewgf is correct.

also dbz games arent button mashers really, like someone who knows what they are doing would run circles around a masher.

well, i guess this gives me hope for that tekken patch.

The netcode for an individual viewpoint game (Like a first person shooter, a racing game, or even DBZ Tenkaiichi, where players have their own view of the action separate from the other players) can not be done the same way a shared viewpoint game (Traditional fighters where both players must be looking at the same screen at all times.)

The technology for hiding latency in an individual viewpoint game is always going to seem better. When will people take the time to learn about this basic concept?

Someone close this thread.

the amount of inputs have nothing to do with developing good netcode

edit: oh lol its a fps game?

I love it when some tekken kid pops up and says this shit. Like “WE GOT FRAMES AND SHIT! WE COUNT THEM1!!” Having absolutely no fucking clue that every fighting game ever has frame counts.

For serious though, jab, jab, jab, sweep is the only timing intensive combo in SF4.

judging from the demo, i preffer t3, but i will give it a shot, since the demos usually dont make justice to the games

Umm the person the person you quoted quoted (Syxx) does play other games besides Tekken, he’s come out with some good Rachel combo videos on youtube and I remember him posting about quitting playing Rachel online because of the timing earlyish in the BB Rachel thread.

Not saying you don’t get people who play Tekken alone doing that but there are people who do know about more fighters then just Tekken around.

(Don’t worry I’m not stalking anyone I just read more than I post and have a decent memory for seemingly unimportant information (wish I could transfer that to learning combos or studying) :razzy:)

This. OMG. This…Budokai 3 was the fucking shit, they really messed up by making every game like the Tenkaichi style :shake:
