That’s one the better Bob players I’ve seen so far (In the third match). I hope I see more from him. Quan, there is Yuu’s Feng Wei in those matches. So clutch…lol…
…and I can’t wait to see the footage. lol. Sorry I couldn’t give you guys my video camera, I completely forgot I had to record my family reunion this weekend.
Yeah Yuu is that nigga. He is in SBO too. And fuck Bob! This dude that was up in the arcade was beating my ass with that fat bastard. That nigga is too safe. More lame than DJ. VDO was killing everyone with King.
Yeah, I read the SBO list. My money’s on Help Mee (Lee), Soyongdori (Devil Jin), Malgu (Law), Yuu (Feng), Shou (Devil Jin), and Nobi (Dragunov).
I’m pretty sure could beat Bob. Just don’t get counter-hit…that shit hurts in this game. Especially on rage. Safe? Yeah…I agree. It’s just harder for Bob in T6BR to hunt for a combo, so he can’t punish that easy. Those jab strings are a different story though…
In reference to DJ, that’s kinda how all the characters work in T6BR. General d/f+2 launchers are slower (like Law and Jack-6), so you can’t really turtle and punish your way to victory. You pretty much HAVE to land a clean hit or a counter-hit. There are people who have good launchers (fuckin’ Lars…), but usually that is offset by the combo damage you deal or if the launcher is jab-punishable. Namco also makes it so that if you guess wrong on a mixup (DJ Hellsweep), the worst that will happen to you is a knockdown or standard damage, instead of a deadly combo.
…but…sidestepping is kind of a pain though. lol. THERE’S NO ESCAPE!!!
I’m not surprised too much about King. I don’t think he’s a real pain, I just hate iSW (Phil…grumblegrumblegrumble).
Jordyn is trying to convince me to start playing fighting games SERIOUSLY again. That means spending my own time to practice them WITHOUT other people. Might be hard without a PS2, though. I think that might have been the issue for a while since mine died. All I have is boring SF4 and HDR. Hell, the reason I don’t play S3 or GG as much as I’d like is because I don’t own a PS2.
Dust loop was only possible in XX and #r. Technically Baiken’s b&b is a dust loop, but it’s not THE dust loop.
Daigo has not played GG for years as far as I know, or else he just hasn’t entered any tournaments, or else he just hasn’t placed in any. I think he just quit the game probably some time during #r though. The person most widely considered to be the top player in GG is Ogawa, though there are plenty of other great players to watch depending on what character you want to look at. The current version of GG that is played is Accent Core.
Damage scaling is more drastic now than it was in XX, but Slayer can still kill you in 2 combos. This game’s selling point is that it is so ridiculous, so if they made it impossible to do hot combos, or made the damage scaling so drastic that it wasn’t worth it, people wouldn’t play it.
Also, if the opponent’s guard bar was jacked up by Sol’s block strings, then it made the combo do more damage than it would on an opponent with a neutral guard bar. Also, some characters have more health than others.
I guess we’re all gonna have to go back to the lab and try again straight MF DOOM style. Practicing is boring but I need to force myself to do it as well to step my game up. I need to learn GG and 3S. I need to practice in all of the KoF games along with Samurai Shodown games and Battle Coliseum. I need Jesus! I need my SUGAR!!!
