Chris, as far as hostility goes, I don’t think I’m being hostile. I think what they’ve done and what they’re doing is amazing and frankly a breath of fresh air. I also KNOW that if they continue to cater solely to the fighting game community, things can go awryfor them.
The novelty of classic games was lost on me as soon as we beat X-Men in 15 minutes. You can have fun with anything if you put your mind to it. But arcades were fun for me because I won and got to watch a lot of people widdle away their paychecks for a chance to beat me. Team games… have any of you tried to play with more than 2 or 3people on any of those team game cabs? It’s painful at best. You’re all welcome to your opinions and your money is your own. Not my cup of tea, though.
G4 said its not exclusive. I’ll know for sure later on tonight. I hope it isn’t because if it is exclusive then ps3 will only have GOW3… then it could pull the Dreamcast route…
It’ll be stupid for Konami to make that game exclusive to the 360. They’ll make it on both systems for the sake of making money. Metal Gear has always been on the PS anyway. Either way it goes I’ll have it lol.
Yeah, but they have a ton of stuff besides Simpsons/TMNT/X-Men/Revolution X. They have some really sweet boards. Lots of score-based stuff, plus the fighters. They got Initial D coming up too. He said they *almost *got a Blitz/Showtime cab at an auction this week
Good news and awesome news. Tomorrow we are going to be open till midnight so stay later if you want and get your moneys worth. We are having some sort of souped up car get together. Not my forte but whatever gets people in the place is cool with me. And the awesome news is that we do indeed have our INITIAL D version 3 up and running and ready for play. We will also have KOF98 in tomorrow (today I guess as it is 2am). You picked a good day to come unless you wanted to play D&D. The monitor exploded today so that will be out of commission for a while or maybe forever. Hopefully I can get the SuperGun setup tomorrow as well and you will have even more new stuff to play. I will be there until 6 so hopefully I will see some of you guys before I leave.
Can’t wait to play some Initial (heavy) D tomorrow. Josh, is your tourney still on for Saturday? I might still go…but it depends on the projected turn out. I mean, if there’s only gonna be 10 people there I’d rather just save the money, no offense.
If there are any Magic players heading to the arcade tomorrow, I’m bringing my type 2 deck and trade stuff; I doubt any of you play Magic, but if so, I need Mystic Gate x2 and Noble Hierarch x3. I have some decent stuff for trade. Play set of DCI Path to Exile, etc.

Dude the balrog player could have won… well nm I doubt that. wong would have found a way to come back. His poke strings were’nt tight enough. The balrog player was just scared to reversal. There were so many chance he could have headbutted->ultra its not even funny, or just headbutted reversal or cr.lp him out. But the rush down was good… but its funny because alot of abel players use that same cr.lk->cr.lk rush down shit , some people have caught on to it. Which is Why the good abel players. Well I guess im a good abel player. As Ive beaten or hung with some of the best on here and they give me " The whole Arkaynes abel is good speech. Bleh whatever…Its just gay his pokes can get cheesed out by SRKS or DP reversals.
