Lee, I’m not saying you’re necessarily wrong, but the odds are against an HDTV being without lag. Of course if it’s not a consumer grade screen then it’s a different story. Just keep in mind the possibility that just because you didn’t notice any lag doesn’t mean there is none.
Also, we love you and you’re being really cool to us right off the bat. We must seem like the whiniest most demanding people in the world. Thanks for all you’re doing.

Edit: Ross, Markman had a thread around for awhile testing that converter and there is indeed lag. Microsoft just doesn’t want you playing their games unless it’s with their controllers :shake:
Uh, I was able to manipulate my schedule so I’ll be getting off work around 5. being that It will take me AT LEAST an hour to get there from Dayton, will I be able to make it there for the tournament?
Josh: you will easily make it in time. Its not until 8pm, with less than an hour drive.
Matt: true, I could have just not noticed lag. I think the screen was hooked up to a tv in the back room, which may be able to be switched.
Quentin: even if that converter worked (its proven not to) its 80 dollars. You can almost get a 360 stick for that. In fact, you can get a SE for that price.

What is it called in BB/GG when you are being juggled and you just flash and recover? Does it cost meter?
Reminds me of Smash or Alpha 3 where its always your best option and doesn’t cost meter, so why do you have to hit buttons to do it? Just have that the default option.
It’s just called tech or recovery or whatever. It doesn’t cost meter, but it’s not like you can do it when you’re in hit stun or anything. When you see a combo continue, and the hit counter goes from bright to dark, it means the person could have teched, but didn’t. The reason you don’t want to tech all the time in guilty gear is because people can drop combos on purpose and position themselves to throw you as soon as you tech, thus resetting the combo for more damage. In BB, of course you can throw mid-combo anyway, and you can tech throws and stuff, but you can still reset damage if your opponent techs.
So to answer your question, if you try to mash out every single time, or if teching were automatic, you would just be reset again and again until you die. So when teching, you want to basically make sure your opponent is in long enough recovery or has knocked you far enough away that it’s not a tech trap.
