A.L.- You probably already know this but you might want to make sure the suicide battery has been recently swapped out for a new one before buying the 3s board.
Hah…alright, well I was at least kinda upfront with you. I just play Hsien-Ko…and yeah last I knew tier wise for DS is that Jedah was fairly low tier…But he still looks fun to play so /whatever
I’d like to go to this arcade sometime eventually…but I’m completely sick of driving right now. And I know the moment I say I’m going people will want me to pick them up and or drop them off.
My life would be a lot easier if I was a selfish prick I tell ya…
I’m not that into Dark Stalkers but I’ll get down in it. I got the first one on PS (Big ass case and all) and Vampire Chronicles on the DC (God I HATE that controller). I’ll be at that arcade today around 7 like like hopefully. I’m sure most of you will be there until late anyway.
Josh I gotta play you again in CvS2 and SF4. Those were some good matches man.
Luke we’re gonna take over that CvS2 machine. We’ll tag team Chris Roses ass Rival Schools style… and Josh if he tries that Blanka OCV shit.
I should make me some daddy pants like Geese.
Matt: I meant I can mash in Darkstalkers, not GG.
I’ll be there at like 4, give me an hour to do some of this yard work people I’m giving rides to. Sorry .
Also @ A.L.: I’d prefer if people just brought their own sticks and it was run on console. I think those controls are still a little wonky, and I know the standard has become Japanese sticks over American.
I don’t know if I’m going to that arcade or not. Depends on a few things. If I don’t, tell Luke I’ll get him that arcade stick next time, which I’m sure won’t be long.
Does anyone still play sf4 on pad? If not, I don’t see why they couldn’t just hook up 2 sanwa sticks and be done with it. If so though, well…
Also, has that monitor been tested for lag? I guess Rockband II calibration will tell you how much lag you have if you don’t know.
We are supposed to close at 10 tonight but if enough of you want to stick around later I will stay open till at least 11.
Actionhank did say there was a tiny millisecond lag in the sticks we have so we will just use some PS3 arcade sticks for the tournament. We just can’t keep them in their all the time because of all the wires that would have to be run. Until they make some wireless arcade sticks that’s the best we can do, but at least we can change the sticks to Sanwa (soon) and hopefully adjust the buttons in time.
One more question. Does BlazBlue have the same button layout as the Guilty Gear games?
My brother wanted me to add that I was going to be coming along too.
Also, has anyone heard good or bad things about this stick?
http://www.themott.com/node/1783?gclid=CL2V6pDW2poCFQEhDQodcxLn2Q
I heard it’s actually not bad. It just looks like garbage.
I do mean the literal words “actually not bad” were said to me in reference to the stick, so the denotation may be different from the connotation, but the connotation says “This shit still sucks, even though it’s better than I expected.”
I thought that might be the case. Thanks
BlazBlue and GG sort of have the same button positioning, but Blazblue only has 4 buttons whereas GG has 5. So the first button is down below the second button, and then it kind of goes over in an arch shape from the second button. There is an option after you choose your character to choose whether you want the buttons to be:
ABC
D
or
BCD
A
Also, stick lag and screen lag are two completely different things, and you wouldn’t know just from playing one stick on one screen which one was responsible for the lag, but I don’t think too many people notice or care about lag these days, so you could be ok. Also good to note that industrial grade monitors like those used in hospitals and stuff prioritize refresh rate over picture quality whereas consumer grade TVs like you would buy for home use prioritize picture over refresh rate, creating more lag. So anyway…
Ok so I got no anwer to my question.
Nice , ignorance is bliss.
Ok Quentin, I’ll answer your question.
Somebody did go to the arcade today. His name is Adam and he said he was going yesterday before you even asked. Pay attention.
Kam, I meant to tell you that N.O vs Dogura match was awesome.
wtf? Pay attention?> How fucking hard was it to say that when I asked in every single fucking post I made? Ok today is not the day. No to mention everyone posted afterward but steady it took me to have to say " So is anyone gonna answer my question? " For someone to say something GTFO with that/
GG to Luke, Keith, and the Dayton Family in CvS2 today. Thats the only game I played. We’re keeping that game on life support.
Shoutouts to Darius, Luke, Keith, and Kris
Schweikart hurry and answer Ross’ question so he can stop bugging out.
GG’s everybody. Good seeing the Cinci people, Luke/Keith/Darius/Chris. I’ll be there again on Saturday for the tourney. I’ll be there fairly early this time though. Ninja Assault has ruined my right arm :crybaby:, 9 LEVELS, my lord. Smash TV is craziness too.
Darius, that game isn’t on life support, it’s flat-lining with EMT’s running to restart it’s heart.
Jason, you should come down sometime you have a good chunk of your day free. I can spend all day there and still want to play. Especially when they get their Arc-Systems games set up, it’ll be worth it.
Edit: Quan what question? About going to the arcade? I’m going Saturday, but that driving distance (Dayton to Fairfield) is pretty far. Especially if that tourney is getting out at 1 AM, and I work at 11 the next day. It’ll be like 2-3 AM before I get home. Maybe some other time. I just get you and Fred because you’re like 5 minutes each way, and Lee’s not to far from your place either. I swear, we need to buy a bus and hire a driver just to get all of us.
Well its like a day or two too late for that.
So I think $20,000’s a year sounds like a nice job.
Ain’t nobody bugging out , so I dont know where you get that from.
Not to mention it wasnt even “aimed directly at adam” it was aimed at everyone , so dont try to get sutff started with me and him.
Ok upset then…
