Datel's Arcade Pro Joystick - Xbox 360/PS3/PC

I already have a JLF Harness, Im looking for something to use from the buttons to the PCB so I dont have to solder it. So that 9 pin harness is what I’m looking for.

Hopefully radio shack has something like that.

Thanks

man… i un soldered everything. and the buttons are still stuck on. a;lsdkja;lskjd!!!

I don’t know what to tell you.

That’s really weird.

Yea idk what I did wrong. Think I am just unlucky. I’ve nodded before never had problems. The soldering looked fine.

Was working fine. Unplugs it. Goes to a friends house and bam it’s broke from car ride.

Saving money. Wtb new board omg.

maybe a mega noob question but can the mod be done solderless? like plug to pin i did so in my madcatz stick n/p anyone know? I’m still going to grab this even if it is a solder job i just wanna know

I originally did mine with all disconnects:

I have since taken it apart and am going to solder it when I put the PCB into my new QCFgaming case but, I never had any problems when I was using just the disconnects

Ahh thank you so much, haha i believe we also have the same color buttons on your stick as are on my TE are yours sanwa as well?

How difficult would it be to take the PCB & Cords out of this to stick in a Yellow PS1 Namco ?.

It’s about as easy as modding a Namco stick gets. Especially if you decide to remove the original Namco PCB. Just pay attention to how you place the Datel board inside the Namco - it’s important to keep it secure as possible to avoid movement.

would extending the usb cable with an extension introduce lag?

I feel the datel usb cord is a bit short for my taste. Would extending the usb cable with an extension introduce lag to my button inputs? Appreciate any responses.

Unless you’ll be using a 50 meter wire, nope.

that is roughly 165 feet for those not on the metric scale!
seriously i would be able to play from my alley way at that length and need binoculars to see my screen

Not recognizing on PS3

Hello guys,

I’ve modded this box with a sanwa JLF and seimitsu buttons. It seems to recognize fine under the 360 but when I plug it into the PS3, it says unknown USB. I tried plugging it into the PC and testing it. All the buttons seems fine except the B/O and RT/R2 buttons. When I press the B/O, it changes the Z-axis down and when I hit the RT/R2 button, it changes the Z-axis up. Any ideas? Like i said, it works perfectly fine on the 360. All the buttons registered.

Quick note: The above was tested on PC in 360 mode. When I test in PS3/PC mode, all the buttons register fine. I’m not sure what’s going on. One other thing i’m not sure if this affected anything, but i was following laugh’s paewang guide and i mixed up the wiring of the joystick. I had a JLF-H harness and followed his guide which he used H5P harness. I caught my mistake after testing it on both machines. Would that cause any problems? everything else seems fine except under the PS3.

Hurm…

All these reported ArcadePro PCB problems are starting to bother me…

Yeah it’s starting to scare me because I haven’t used mine in a while cause I’m still painting my case.

eek, I think I might plug it in and start touching some wires together to make sure it still works

You could try something like this in a madcatz stick. I should hold firm

That’s odd. If anything I would have expected the 360 compatibility be the first to go because of a security chip recognition update bullshit.

This is standard behaviour because…
The drivers are the same from the XBOX360 Controller for Windows and thus RT and LT are analog triggers and thus you get the z-index. but since there is not resistance to the button on a stick, and the pad on the PCB is either High or Low you get full or none on z-index… …try it in the game. The game itself does not use the buttons as anolog but rather treats them as digital High or Low only.

I figured that was the case but I wasn’t sure. Just wanted to double check if I had done something wrong b/c in windows it showed 2 extra buttons that never lit up.

Anyways, I solved my problem. I feel like a complete idiot. After posting my problem, I realized that you had to hold down the turbo button and plug it into the PS3 for it to recognize. Kind of how you had to do that for the PS3/PC mode or 360 mode when plugged into the PC. I wonder if you have to hold down the turbo everytime you plug it into the PS3. At work right now so I can’t check that. I was use to my TE stick using the CHImp where it automatically detected the system it was plugged into. Otherwise, with the few minutes of playing on it, it seemed to work fine.

no it has a ‘last stored system’ memory address
if you set it to PS3, it stays PS3 until you hold the Turbo to switch it
