But Darkstalkers is my shit. I just love how it’s a nice change of pace from SF and when I do play I enjoy myself. Capcom needs to hook this up next with the HD Chronicle for the bonus. Oh and don’t forget that Cross Edge drops next month with some of the characters from DS all up in it so cop that too.
Hsien-ko/lei lei is my favorite FG char of all time.
On topic though, I feel very fortunate in that, upon moving to japan, I can now play VS in the arcades and get good comp regularly.

Fucking, us fans need to band together and push Capcom into making another game (naturally adding that damned Cactus from MVC2, Ruby Heart, and Tessa from Red Earth in). Every time I even just hear Darkstalkers get brought up I get warm with excitement inside. Fuck I wanna play now on my XBox. At least give us a port of the collection from DC/PS2. Shit man shit!
When i was in japan i played this game like no other game existed. With the exception of fate unlimited codes anyway. However, I loved this game very very much. All this love for the Vampire series in this thread, and barely anyone playing it. I dont see the love =\
Well, how would everyone feel about a GGPO Vampire Savior night? Something like a Monday night or something, we all agree to hop on and play some VS casuals? Maybe get an online scene going and organized right out of here, instead of everyone just sitting around being nostalgic.
Looking through the thread, there’s definitely enough interest to get some momentum on this, so why not?
I don’t really know why I don’t play it more. I love the atmosphere and everything about the game, but maybe the lack of comp is a reason. It’s fun to boot up and tear thru every once in awhile, but as much as I love the game, I just don’t see fit to put as much time into it as say, 3rd Strike. :sad:

I’d love to get on ggpo finally and play some vs and really see how its works at a more competitive level than it did in my living room when i was like, 12. But, I have a mac, and no stick… so… I’ll just have to wait… much love for the character design of the DS series. No damn headswaps, except lilith

I only want to see something like that for PS3 and 360 with online and it better be a sign of Darkstalkers 4 game coming. Well since I have a lot of time on my hands right now, I’ll spearhead an online scene, even though I know less than nothing about Vampire Savior at any sort of high level.
I’ll get a thread going in the PC matchmaking forum in a bit.
One thing I CAN’T stand with the game is the commands with most of the supers, how the commands are so unorthodox (to me) and how the timing has to be perfect (of course I balk on supers for most games when I’m under pressure anyway 
). I have a tough time pulling out B.B’s supers 'cause I can’t rotate the stick correctly most of the time, and I have horrible timing doing Morrigan’s missle super 'cause I hit too many of the buttons at once or not in the right order: :mp: :lp: BACK :lk: :mk:, and it has to be done in a split second. I get frustrated and then Keela comes up and goes, “oh like this?” Flawless. :wasted:

I really don’t think its a bad thing that they expanded attack-input-“supers” with the chain system, it does add depth to comboing for some’ve the characters. messing up supers is the fault of your poor execution(sorry)
alot’ve the simple things they do in/outside’ve the game mechanics make sense to me, i.e. the fact that 90% of the cast’s moves/specials/ES’s/EX’s don’t have any invincibility. & despite having infinite meter, if you DO successfully input an ES/EX, the meter is gone, whether you hit/wiff/or get knocked out’ve it.

I agree. I would have loved to have been in the planning meeting for that part of the game.
I am a huge fan of the series. I bought the Matching Service version and I broke down and spent to import the PS2 Collection version as well. I’m not a high level player but I watched some of Daigo’s videos from his site, and I can say that’s some ***nice ***high level stuff.

What is your problem? VC rocked, and both those games were online compatible, just in Japan. Its not their fault americans are stupid, ignored the game and hence they only released the online title in their country where it gets respect.
What is the point of re-releasing another Darkstalkers game in America is next to no-one will buy it?
Besides, people are too busy playing that shitty SF4
