Ruby Heart is alright, since she was a concept for the old DS4, however I still don’t know if the same is true for Amingo and Sonson
I remember Seth only confirming that Ruby was a canned DS character, and everyone assuming that the same was true for the other two

Sonson comes from SonSon (and Darkstalkers already has the chinese mythological resident spot taken) . I don’t think Amingo would fit at all.

What I don’t want to see are any proposed fan rosters.

I actually like how the 3D models look in Marvel 3. I would prefer a new VS game to look similar to that as opposed to SF4, which probably won’t happen.

Now if Capcom was smart: Incorporate some sort of fatality system in the gameplay like MK’s X-Rays or how fatalities worked in Samurai Shodown V SP.

Also; not only have Jap and English voice overs, but have two different soundtracks. Jap version has the remixes and J-pop. English version has Black metal.

It’s not a bad thing, but nonetheless I want DS4 to be special. I want it to be memorable, not just gameplay-wise but in a psychological way where people just come away being freaked out by it. My god that’d be awesome.

Fair enough I guess. I just feel you’re barking up the wrong tree on that one if you’re looking for a fighting game to freak you out in my opinion.
I would like to see more of those types of stages though. Would be interesting to say the least.
Graveyard-esque Stage to Drink the Blood of the Priest or similar. I can see it now… You’d have to know the song I guess to understand why I chose that song.

Toss Master Chief, Spawn and General RAAM(Gears) in for the 360 side. Add Dante(gotta get them DmC sales lolz) and Asura(he is so cool and anime like DBZ!!!) in there as guest characters for the fans too.

Maybe throw some gems in there while we’re at it.

Huh, I remember before MvC3’s release they said that most Darkstalker’s characters were hard to implement into a 3D engine because their shifting and transforming and morphing constantly put a strain on memory. If this rumour is true, I guess they found away around those limitations? Or perhaps the whole explanation was just BS…?

Just ignorance to the capability of vertex morphs. I discussed a lot about this at page #2.
Also consider MVC3 was designed as 3-on-3 so conservative memory usage should be enforced

Vertex morphing isn’t computationally expensive as it is a bit memory intensive though that’s only true if you have lots of vertex frames to blend to. Consoles in the past 10 years can handle all sorts of vertex morph trickery.

And it’s not ignorance really just like you said it’s memory intensive. It’s not so much of a problem with 1v1 but 2v2 and such is pushing it a little.
I’m sure they knew they could do it with just a solid 1v1.

No. Fetus of God and Jedah’s ending were both terrifying. I want tons more stuff like that, I want the game to be loaded with nightmare fuel.

i just dont know if i want it in 3D polygons (which is what its gonna use) or see it with huge changes to the battle system that arent needed (X-Factor. “Casual” crap that makes matches stupider as a band-aid for not having good IN GAME tutorials). the game is the Japanese equivalent of Mortal Kombat with more horror themes and i dont want it to lose that identity so that it can also be played in Arcades in Japan just because its in 3D now. I also dont really want the game to change in terms of systems just so it can appeal to EVERYBODY. yknow what? i just dont want it to be made to appeal to EVERYBODY PERIOD/END SENTENCE. if should be made for its CORE AUDIENCE AND FANS first and lowest common denominator second.
