Are you saying that it is impossible to build an interesting gameplay style from a solid character design? Looking through the Darkstalkers Graphic File, it seems many characters were created by āWhat should the character be?ā, then āHow would it fight?ā.
Not like it really matters though, since the contest if unofficial and the only things on the line are some books and figures.
I would give bonus point for that idea if he is modeled after Rincewind from Discworld series.
As for new characters, the only ones I really want to see are a headless horseman and a mad scientist.
I just hope they make a really good fireball zoning character. Either make one of the existing characters like Aulbath have really good projectiles or create a new character with zoning in mind.
BB Hood and Hsien-Ko? They arenāt all zoning, but its one big part of their game. Even Demitriās upgraded ryu fireball game. I hope you donāt mean sit and one end of the screen and throw projectiles all day.
This game should bring back the Warzard/Red Earth mains and also bring back Ruby Heart and Amingo.
Also, Iāve mentioned this before but I think the game should really push the horror themes even more this time around. Put freakish and disturbing things in the game, remember the Fetus of God stage where youāre fighting in the living womb of a foul eldritch horror baby? That was great, the game needs more stuff like that.

I can see why capcom made Jedah normals the way they are. his hurtbox and startup on his moves are big, but the hitbox is also big, capcom probably didnt think it was a good idea to give him speed or priority on his moves. nobody seem that bad on paper imo, capcom just didnāt foresee how the game would evolve and some character just got the short end of the stick (no pushblock anak).
I do agree that they were high on something when they made wolf/sas/bee/raptor. They donāt talk and fuck shit up.
