I would prefer his grounded mediums becoming special cancelable and his hurtboxes reduced to be actually smaller than the hitboxes, though that’s just a Capcom thing in general I think.

this Darkstalkers design contest makes me wish there was some actual Capcom promoted contest, only on CG Society or something. There are a lot of people who could quite easily make some pretty mind blowing stuff but they do not appear to live on Unity.
Just a casual contest among the people who are likely to buy products. There is no more harm than a stereotypical Sonic recolor.
And maybe something of worth will happen anyway.
Oh I understand that and as far as that goes, it’s pretty inoffensive (unless you are offended by enthusiasm that isn’t sharpened by design or understanding), just that I think this /kind/ of contest has been done remarkably well (See: Dominance War) and could actually be a legitimate way to generate a character.
That’s actually what I was referring to when I mentioned Barkley’s. But really, someone should make a fighting game spin-off of that.
Personally though, IMO they should have it either here on on Dustloop, so people can come up with designs based on interesting gameplay concepts.
I’m of the opinion that any look can be fitted to accommodate a playstyle, and ultimately I’d rather the design be handled internally to be as consistent with the rest of the game as possible.
Personally i’ve always felt that if Firebrand and Arthur made it into the next darkstalkers, I really wouldn’t complain, probably still wouldn’t.
