The one with the spear Stinger’d after me like Dante and sent me flying. What a douche.
I found a Dark Sword and I want to use a heavy gem on it. I am at 20 str. Should I wait or is it a good time to infuse it?
Interesting. Im almost done my first run after restarting a million times, and i havent felt the need to farm. Just organically following the rule of thumb for dark souls, which is spend your souls, and dont run around with tens of thousands of them, you can get the job done pretty well. You dont really need much stamina at all for anything. I felt like stamina ran down faster in dark souls 1 than this game. Mostly just dump it into health, and either luck or strength depending on your build.
You also get 5 free upgrade points from that one guy depending on how hollow you are. Im not thinking from a pvp point of view though. I dont pvp, and didnt in dark souls 1. I think the culture of it is interesting, and i lol at the videos of it. I just dont care. lol
Just look at the damage totals in the menu when you go to do it. If it’s better then do it, if it’s not then don’t do it.
This is also true. It’s slightly better rate than farming in Archdragon Peak, although I find Archdragon Peak to be way less of a headache. Archdragonspot is great because you can chill pretty easily. I usually watch a Twitch stream while I’m farming there. lol
Fair enough haha. I just want to make sure I’m not taking the weapon down an upgrade path that isn’t good. But I know this one eventually gets an A in str scaling with Heavy.
What is your build out of curiosity? I’ve done two builds that use heavy weapons and I would say that stamina is absolutely important to those builds. So just curious what it is you’re running.
There is absolutely no reason to wait. Just look at the stats when you try to infuse and make the decision from there. If you decide later you don;t want the infusion anymore you can always just use a Shriving Stone to remove it. It’s not a permanent upgrade or anything.
Welcome brother. There is much fun to be had. I learned of the Legendary Dark Sword from the Dark Wraiths that found themselves wanting to cleave me in half before the Abyss Watchers.
Also really digging this Fallen Knight set. Kind of reminds me of a tattered Kylo Ren.
One of the reasons I DON’T use that set is because it looks like Kylo Ren. Haha.
So here’s some stuff that had been cut from the game for anyone who is curious about those kinds of things. I am super salty the Fire Keeper face mask was cut, I want it so bad. crosses fingers for it to show up in DLC
I can see why some of those sets were cut. Some of them look really awful to be honest, or they’re incomplete in some way. Others, mostly the weapons, look like they were cut because they don’t match with boss design (i.e. Dancer never uses a bow).
I saw those a bit ago, I can’t help but think some of the items will show up as DLC. The Princes Shield has an interesting lore description, makes it sound as though the fight could have been different.
Yea some of em are pretty uggo and others definitely don’t fit the characters they are ascribed to.
Sharp gems are pretty hard to find. I have a bunch of other gems, but not sharp gem. Where’s the best place to find those?
The red eyes guys with the Curved Carthus Greatswords in the Carthus Catacombs drop them.
There is also one you can find in the Catacombs and another from a crystal lizard in the Undead Settlement. Also, there is another from a crystal lizard late game
They really should just bring back the blue eyed orb man.
Assassin luck build with astorias straight sword to start, then anri’s straight sword. Most of all souls went into health first, then faith for 3 points, then luck. You can defeat like the first half of the bosses with just resin and a leveled up astoria straight sword. You can also level it up quick if you just blast through areas, dont use embers, and just go on a collecting spree of items. I didnt, but i estimate you can get a plus 5 to 6 astorias sword in the first 40 minutes of the game.
Ah yea see, if you’re using a heavy weapon Stamina is a big deal. I use Great Swords and with a base level Stamina Bar I can only get two swings out of it, and I’ll be stuck with a Stamina Penalty to boot.
I dunno bout a +6 weapon in 40 minutes…Large Titanite Shards don;t start showing up with any kind of regularity for a while.
