@“The Martian” Dunno why you went to Reddit with that when you must have known youd get conversation about it here since Gasa and I are the ones who turned you onto this idea.
Anyway respost it here (in spoiler tags, it was long) please i didnt get to finish reading it on my lunch break and when my phone reloaded the tab it was gone.
What’s up with these laggy ass connections? Enemies and players are just gliding around. I literally just kept stabbing this boss away cuz I don’t see him doing anything.
Also people are mentioning how the patch is buggy, but it made online downright inaccesible for me. The game simply won’t go online. Hurr-durr, from software pullin’ a capcom here. Not that I care much as I won’t be doing PvP until I beat the main story.
And for dex players out there; get the crescent blade. That weapon is some saucy dex build goodness. I’m having terrible amounts of fun with it.
Yuria of Londor never triggered after Yoel’s death. Yoel died before I could even Dark Sigil 5 times. Now Dark Hand is unaccesible. Darkwraiths don’t drop them. I hate how these games punish you for playing blind.
Either spoiler everything and lose a lot of the fun, or have mad fun but end up with a shit character.
Finally found the Darkmoon covie, super bummed out.
Okay, just beat the final boss, I highly suggest you guys pick up dried fingers and basically gank red/purple phantoms in the area before fighting the boss.
Because of the weird fog wall stuff you can become unreachable but the phantoms won’t be wished away. I was at a point where I was alone vs a red and purp and ran behind the wall to let whites/suns spawn. The purp guy actually started fighting the red, this is probably the only way to see purple phantoms actually play like they think they do as “wildcards”. otherwise they team up with reds 100% of the time.
The games are meant to be played multiple times over. NG+ isn’t even that difficult compared to NG, often times easier because of how strong you are by the end of your first NG run and you know what to expect. Use NG+ to optimize your character and finish quests you may have missed.
Yeaaaah, that’s the most disappointing thing about being a purple, the other purples never try to be chaotic. It’s understandable though, look at it from their point of view, hosts almost never trust them and I bet many are in the covenant just for the rewards.
I actually like allying with the host to kill reds though, if only because it’s always really unexpected.
I need to get some Pale Tongues so I can get an Obscuring Ring. Need it for invading shenanigans, but I guess the only way to get Pale Tongues is to invade (outside of farming certain mobs for a very rare drop).
Beat my blind thief run over the weekend. God damn is that starting class weak, also the bandit’s knife never gets good at all. even at +9… what a struggle.
anyways so once that was out of the way i made a knight and quickly ran him through past the dancer to start and he’s just beasting through the game. Already made it to irithyl or whatever and have had 0 challenges so far. Although holy crap did i miss a lot in my blind playthrough, so many npc quests and even entire hidden zones and shit.
all said and done i think this game is a very strong entry into the series and has plenty of challenge in it if you select the right build.
edit: does anyone know what they patched over the weekend? did they fix either the tree jump to get the silver serpent ring early or the sword master glitch to solo the dancer?
well all of the boss souls have 2 items they can be transfused into and you can’t get them both until you get 2 copies of their soul… that’s kinda like it?
Well, are you invading or using your red sign? If so, then that’s fine, but I always use my white sign, which means literally anything in the world can attack me, but I can attack anything in the world also.
