Dark Souls 3: Prepare to Die Once More

@crotchpuncha : yep; its dem niglets.

Defeated the first boss at the expense of staying till 3:30AM finding the proper niggas that don’t die on 2nd hits.

Ah I see. Their not so bad…so far. Ive only fought the first two of them tho.

I’ll piss on your grave.

Spoiler

I encountered that fatass knight with the halberd. Dude is ruthless. Most enemies are straight fodder but these armored knights and dude with the katana are out for blood. The SFX in this game is amazing. Every swing of that halberd sounded like it was powered by death.

Yea- your posse needs to be on point dealing with that fatass knight. One swing hit hurts like shit. That’s why I wait to have a 3-man crew to make the trek easier. Also need the others as body bags shield :bee:

the swordwielding red knights are facking hardcore.

Spoiler

i got caught several times when they change their pose and do this DMC1 style stinger on ur ass.
aj wus liek wut de fuk br0

I started off as a theif.

Lets just say cause of this guy I am starting over as a warrior because the thief cant deal damage to them outside of backstabs which are incredibly difficult.

Fuck this game man

Fat boy is pretty easy to deal with, hunt for the backstab and the whirling shit has a long wind up.

If you see him posing like some fat acceptance model get the fuck away from him.

Thief is starting to come along nicely.

6 bosses down. All in all I’d call it a pretty accomplished first day.

[details=Spoiler]The Abyss Watchers was a really cool fight. It took me FOREVER to figure out how to open the giant door down in the Ferron Keep swamp area. I have two new areas I have to explore: Catacombs of Carthus and Cathedral of the Deep, which is pretty much a GIANT fucking castle. This castle is seriously the same size as Anor Londo itself. The Crystal Sage has to be one of the easiest bosses in the game, I can’t imagine ANYONE will have trouble against her.

Did anyone find Yoel of Londor? He’s an NPC that comes back to Firelink in the beggining area of the Undead Settlement. Every now and then he would level me up for free seemingly and also sold spells, but when I came back after killing a Lord Of Cinder he was lying dead on the floor. Wtf? Anyone know what causes that?

Also I killed the Curse Rotten Tree boss before joining the Mound Maker covenant, so now apparently I have to kill 3 Lords of Cinder before I can join it now.

I’m love, love, LOVING this game. I love everything. I love that the mechanics are a combination of things from all 4 previous Souls games, I love the increased pace of combat, I love the amazing amount of detail in EVERYTHING from head to toe, I love the boss and enemy designs…it just seems like they took the best aspects from every game and perfectly molded them into one.

Oh yeah, and weapon arts are fucking SICK. Check out this invasion where I finished off two dudes with the Uchi’s Art Attack. You don’t see much more than a building and some trees in the video so I’ll refrain from spoilering:

Spoiler Alert: The Watchdogs of The Forest is an amazing covenant.

So how much has everyone been using their special skills? because I’ve been more preoccupied with just finding everything and I have only been using the Knights sword + fire gem grave gift and have been abusing that charge attack like nobodies business.

Oh yeah and another thing I was super hype about…

…BLEED DAMAGE WORKS THE SAME WAY AGAIN!!!

The daggers special move with the theif is a crazy awesome dodge move. Makes the roll look worthless

I havnt been using them much but been tryin to work them in. I only have 2 1/2 hours in the game so far tho.

I think I can explain this.

Spoiler

You’re talking about the dude with the shell and chains on his back that serves you? I think if you let him level you up 5 times, he’ll die. But after that some chick should be near his body and continue the process.

Got my precious Claymore. People are saying it kind of sucks this time, seems fine to me though. It does have D scaling in str and dex but surely it doesn’t stay that way.

My game had a loading time glitch while respawning a little crystal lizard and I got two twinkling titanites instead of one. LOL.

I wanna find another good dex weapon. I’ve been using the double scimitars since I started, and now I also have the brigand blades but it seems like theres a fuckton of strength weapons and not a lot of dex…at least 8 hours into the game :stuck_out_tongue:

Im getting DS3 tomorrow

I took him down myself. I solo the Souls games. Because I’m a pyromancer, I chuck FBs like Ryu to gauge my opponent. The boss that came after the fatass knight was down to around 50% from pyromancy FBs alone.

[details=Spoiler]This is part of an NPC questline,
I wont go into detail here but it ties into several npc’s and hollowing.[/details]

you could use the “masters” Uchigatana.

man the description for that guys set was the funniest shit. you get done fighting the hardest fight so far and pick up “Masters Set” thinking oh no wonder i had this much trouble he was a master. nope he was actually just a blowhard that claimed his clothes were so shit because “he danced betwixt the blades and came out unscathed but his clothes got torn”

Not sure if I’m just out of practice, but does anyone else feel like the window to parry is a bit smaller? Got so used to walking up to the black knights in DS1 and just parry them, yet I’m having a tougher time with the new knights.
