don’t watch it if you don’t wanna see the environments.
this is a invasion by oroboro and i count 5 players at the same time
I believe you can have 2 white phantoms at once. I’m not sure how many different people can be in your world at once though as we have forest invaders, darkwraiths, and a new “mad” covenant as well. Hopefully they can all be summoned at once. Also, the “mad” covenant I speak of is seriously going to be too godlike
- You can summon a 3rd using the Dried Finger but that also allows you to be invaded by two normal, red invaders at the same time
i will be taking my time fully enjoying the game before jumpin into onlineplay…but once i do though…
someone plz set up a SRK gladiator arena
Also, just to be crystal clear, that means at most, barring any extra covenant stuff which I’m unaware of, you can have 6 players in a world at once. 1 host, 3 summons, 2 invaders
Well hot diggity.
Wonder where the new “Iron Keep” or “Darkroot Basin” area will be.
One invasion Hotspot is really early in the game; the duel Hotspot seems to be one of the later areas
I have to say, I dislike what Bamco is doing with DS3 as far as marketing goes. It’s like they don’t know what it is they’re selling. Just look at that 80s-themed vid they have on the Steam page, or the clothing line they revealed recently.

Y’all niggas arguing over dumb shit in here. Let the ignorant stay ignorant and keep it moving.
I like that it was so heavy they could barely swing it, just like in Dark Souls!
They are doing as “much” as they can as it’s gonna be the last game in the series. Going out with a bang , etc.
From can’t ignore the success of the Souls series. Sony or Bamco will ask them to do another Bloodborne, Demon’s or Dark, or something “new” entirely that shares a lot of similarities with the Souls games.

HNGGGGGGGGG
I really hope that they stick with the plan of this being the last game and then just move on to something new. I’d hate to imagine 10 years down the road people saying “well, this series used to be good until they made 100000 sequels”
Ok, so with the game about to come out, I’ve decided to put up my strategy guide. I’m going to release them one at a time between now and Tuesday in the order that you will likely encounter each boss during your playthrough. I’m not going to bother doing a guide for some bosses as they don’t need one. If anyone reads this and has any sort of criticism/suggestion about what a should add/remove. Please let me know. This one is sort of a “trial run”. So without further ado, here is the first guide:
[details=Spoiler]Abyss Watchers
I anticipate that this will be the first boss a lot of people will get stuck on. So this fight has two phases. During the beginning of the fight, one Abyss Watcher will spawn, and this Abyss Watcher has a pretty standard sword moveset during this phase.
He is pretty athletic and capable of doing some really long blockstrings, so definitely keep an eye on your stamina gauge (don’t get your guard broken). The basic strategy is to strafe around him, waiting for openings and going for a few attacks then retreating. Rinse and repeat. After you do this a few times, another Abyss Watcher will spawn. This Abyss Watcher is functionally identical to the first, and will immediately go on the attack (so don’t get trapped in a corner, or you will suddenly have two Abyss Watchers swinging at you). The best thing to do during this phase is to retreat. Try and keep an eye on both Abyss Watchers, but don’t go for any attacks unless you are certain to be free from punishment. The reason I say to retreat is because, soon after the second Abyss Watcher has spawned, a third Abyss Watcher with red eyes will spawn. This Watcher can be thought of as the “wild card”.
If you are nearby when he spawns, he will immediately attack you (which means you now have 3 Watchers to deal with). If this happens, run away. The good thing about the Red Eye Watcher is, if you are not nearby, he will attack the other two watchers. It is crucial that you get him to attack one of the other Watchers, because this means you are free to go 1v1 with the remaining Watcher (using the basic strafe around + hit and run strategy). Throughout this whole process, the first Watcher is the always the one that counts as the “actual boss”, and whenever possible you want to attack him so you avoid making the fight too drawn out. Sometimes, the Red Eye Watcher will take off a significant amount of health from the “main” Watcher. Other times you will have to repeat the above process multiple times (if a non-main Watcher dies, they will respawn after a brief time). Either way, make sure you get the Red Eye Watcher to attack one of the others and this stage of the fight becomes significantly easier.
After the “main” Watcher is killed, you will get a brief cutscene and the real fun can began. Now you will fight a super-charged version of the “main” Abyss Watcher. Luckily, this fight is always 1v1, no more Watchers will spawn. However, the new Watcher now has a fire effect on his sword, giving him some pretty massive range. He is also a lot more aggressive and does longer blockstrings (plus he will now do elemental damage, so don’t block too much or you will get chipped out). During this stage of the fight, keeping an eye on the stamina gauge is crucial. Due to the fact that he does very long blockstrings, it is possible to get your guard broken if you are blocking too often (if this happens, lolz), so whenever you can, dodge. Basically, this version of the Abyss Watcher is the same as before, but is more aggressive, has longer range, and now does elemental damage. The same strafe around + hit and run strategy applies. Dodge through his long blockstrings and then go for a punish (while making sure not to waste too much stamina). If you use this strategy, so the boss shouldn’t give you too much trouble. I will reiterate that managing stamina, keeping an eye on chip damage, and not getting your guard broken is crucial during stage two of the fight. Also, there is an NPC summon you can use that makes this fight a total joke. If you are having too much trouble with the Watchers, that is certainly an option. Also, this boss can be backstabbed, parried, and will be staggered quite easily, so keep that in mind. Overall, I found this boss to be quite difficult. However, on my first run I fought this guy wayyy to early, which probably accounts for why I found him so difficult. Either way, I hope this helps. [/details]
This next boss I anticipate will be the one to really give people brave enough to do solo runs some trouble:
[details=Spoiler]Pontiff Sulyvahn
This guy is a beast of a boss. He wields two swords: a fire infused Ultra Greatsword and a magic infused Straight Sword. This means that anytime you block an attack from the Pontiff, you will be taking chip damage. The second thing to note about this guy is that he is extremely aggressive and does pretty long attack strings.
As with most fights, blocking too often and mismanaging your stamina bar will get you killed, so be mindful of that. This guy does a lot of quick, sweep type attacks, so really time your dodges carefully or you will get clipped by the elemental part of his attack. The usual get in close, strafe around, and carefully dodging when he attacks so you can go for a punish is going to be your safest bet here. If you can strafe behind him, then you are in a really good position to do some attacks. If you see him fall to his knees, back away as he is about to do an AOE attack.
Once you get him down to around 50% health, the fight gets pretty challenging. You will see him stand still and point his Straight Sword into the air. When he does this, it means that he is summoning one of his shades. The shades function identically to the Pontiff himself, so this means you essentially have two Pontiff’s to deal with now. One thing that you should do is, when you see him start to summon his shade, go in and hit him with everything you’ve got. In addition to doing damage to the Pontiff, you will also be able to damage (and sometimes kill) the shade, so this is a win win scenario. The Shade doesn’t have a large amount of health, so you should focus on killing him as quickly as possible while also keeping an eye on the Pontiff to make sure you aren’t about to get blown up.
The scariest part about this phase of the fight is how mobile Pontiff and his Shade are. It can be difficult to keep them both in front of you, but you should try your best to do so or you will get clipped by a surprise attack. During this stage of the fight, Pontiff and his Shade will do a projectile attack that looks very similar to the projectile from the MLGS. This attack is quite easy to dodge through (although it covers a big horizontal area) and it has a lot of startup (Pontiff/Shade will crouch down, rear his sword back, and then finally let the projectile go). If possible dodge through this attack and go for the punish. Sometimes Pontiff or the Shade (or both) will fly up into the air and come down with a massive Ultra Greatsword attack. This attack is also easy to dodge (dodge left or right) and it has a large amount of recovery, so definitely make sure to punish it. One thing to note is that the shade is capable of teleporting, which can make him difficult to account for (this is why it is really important to kill the Shade as quickly as possible).
Once you kill the Shade, Pontiff functions basically the same as he did before, although he has a few new attacks (the ones I mentioned above). Approach him like you were previously by strafing behind him and go for some attacks. He doesn’t have a large amount of health, so you should hopefully be able to kill him before he summons another shade. Overall, this guy is a pretty challenging boss, and stamina management + carefully timing dodges is probably the most important thing. If you are having too much trouble, there are 2 NPC summons you can use that make this fight tremendously easier. [/details]
You need to format those a bit better, the info is good but it comes out as a giant text wall.

Thanks bro, I’ll go back and edit them and the ones I put up later will have a better format
