Dark Souls 3: Prepare to Die Once More

Well, it just depends really. If you’re using passwords, anyone can find anyone. When you’re trying to play with randoms, I’m pretty sure it’s the same as Dark Souls 1/Bloodborne. The person summoning you has to be within ten levels above or below you to be able to see your sign.

I know some of the covenants in this game change those parameters, but I’m not too familiar with the specifics.

Yeah I was just wondering since I couldn’t find the answer online, but I know as a level 120 I have played with people as low as 45 in the Sunbro covenant.

I don’t think that is the case as I have been able to get summoned for Vorte with an end game build. I think it just makes it easier to match with people closer to your level but your not completely cut off.

I’m not sure summoning is restricted to NG while you’re in NG. While practicing Nameless King by getting summoned, I helped a guy who said that he was doing an SL80 NG+ run.

@crotchpuncha - Unless you took out Vordt in like three swings, I’d guess that you got summoned to help someone in a later cycle. Outside of that, when you’re summoned to help someone way below your SL through passwords, you’re supposed to get deleveled to a certain extent (though only in that you get less HP/MP/stamina/damage - you get to keep your tools).

You can play with people regardless of playthrough, too. At least, when you use passwords.

I’m not sure if you can without them.

I just know that another guy claimed I helped him with an NG+ fight while I was on NG. I actually did well dodging stuff in that fight, so I dunno if it was that or if I just misunderstood.

No limitations between NG variations, only thing that you get limited by is weapon level and soul level. Once you’ve levelled a weapon up to +6 you’ll be forever matched within that bracket, regardless of if you put it into your bottomless box or not.

I got to the Catacombs of Carthus you gotta watch your ass for those skeleton dudes coming back up lol.

And those ambushes/traps throughout more than any area so far.

Catacombs of Carthus really reminds me of Sen’s Fortress.

Catacombs of Carthus is basically the DS3 tribute to the chalice dungeons in Bloodborne, but with more hilarious skeleton balls and less having to go through the same areas thirty times to get through everything.

I thought the Demon Ruins were wayyyyy more reminiscent of Chalice Dungeons. Some of the similarities between those two areas are uncanny.

at 15 seconds lol

Invaded as a furniture-hating mad phantom in the Archives. This came out of it. Turn on annotations for dumb little comments.

Did Onikiri and Ubadachi get buffed or something? I just got hatemail for using them, haven’t ever managed to get hatemail for using these things before. I thought katanas barring the Washing Pole were pretty underused in general, O&U were kinda meh. I just used em for the dope ass weapon art, free aim it into someone and pop them for like 1k damage.

Yeah, the weapon skill was buffed I heard, I forget how but basically it’s more reliable for comboing

Oni and Uba is my favorite weapon in the game. At +10 and Crystal Magic Weapon? Forget about it. The damage is fucking stupid, lol. Especially for how fast it is.

Surprisingly, I don’t think I’ve seen even one person online use them.

Youve seen me use them they where the weapon i was using last time we played.

I have a mage, a brute, and a pyromancer. What’s a good assassin build? Just began a new run.

Just got the Uchi level one by jumping off the map. Swordmaster followed me.

If you use holy weapons, they stay dead. So like anri’s sword for instance will keep them dead. Its convenient if you want to actually try clearing the stages.
