Dark Souls 3: Prepare to Die Once More

I just put on all my best fire resistance gear, took a red pill then chugged flasks while losing health.

For the lava? Just put on high flame defense stuff and keep chugging Estus. It’ll be suicide runs, mostly.

Also, there are two rooms.

The only room of the two that has anything of worth is the room where you fight Knight Slayer Tsorig, which is a spell. Rest of the loot is usual garbage.

Hang on don’t you get the white hair talisman in the first lava room?

I’d say that’s pretty handy.

I just made sure i had no souls i didnt mind losing, and just drank estus, grabbed shit, and died. Rinse repeat. I wouldnt waste too much time trying to arm yourself against it. Also if you hold down block while in the lava, it reduces the damage.

The only thing you really want from there is sacred flame. Maybe the white talisman and toxic mist depending on your build. Like what was previously said, outside of the sacred flame, its just junk down there.

Hey, you know why you should never ever EVER use the dual fire fists in PVP?

*You can hit someone with the first hit in the doublehit L1 thing they do, and they can still parry the second because the parry animation finishes regardless.

THEY SEEM TO BE LITERALLY TWICE AS PARRYABLE AS ANYTHING ELSE IN THE GAME BECAUSE THE HITS COME OUT SO CLOSE TOGETHER.*

If this is really the case, and it really seems so… Holy shit, that’s bad

Refined Lothric Sword +10

Scrapped Mage bro since it was boring as hell. Made Yodel the Luck Thief.

I shall plunder and backstab to my heart’s content.

Ran through the game dr doom herald cosplay
Exile mask
Herald armor
Faraam gloves
Lothric knight leggings
Carthus milking
Chloranthy ring
Witch’s ring
Sage ring
Pyro flame + 10 w/ attuned dark orb, chaos fire orb, power within,
Dark hand
Dark estoc +10

Idk about you guys but the game was cake with this setup I thought pyromancy was not going to touch it’s former glory but I killed the final boss with a total of maybe 15 chaos orbs at 40/40 in’t faith the boss before that in like 7

Once you get Chaos Orb, there’s almost no reason to use any other offensive pyro spell in PVE except for against greatshield enemies, where that bury-your-hand-in-their-chest-and-asplode spell should do wonders. And yes, Dark Orb against pyro-immune enemies… Though in my experience there aren’t enough of those to justify the extra spell slot.

Chaos Bed Remnants does more direct damage, but the projectile is huge and likes to get caught on things. With Chaos Orb, you can tag so many mob enemies with the lava pool even if it hits a wall or something, and the fact that it arcs makes it even better.

Of course, if you ARE running with enough spell slots, Chaos Orb and Chaos Bed Remnants complement each other well. Chaos Bed for longer ranges and for tagging faster-moving enemies, Chaos Orb for everything else.

“They’re penetrating through the REAR!!!”

Finally beat this bastard. Felt like a hit and run type fight, so I went with the hardest hitting thing I had. I needed Havels, FAP, and Knight rings just to hold the BKUGS lol.

I kinda feel like a slow-hitting, stamina-heavy weapon like that would make the fight harder. The dude’s aggressive as hell, so I went with quick hits. I think I beat him with a Heavy Longsword on my str/pyro character.

I think when I killed him in that video, I replaced the FAP ring with Chloranthy Ring and went with a much lighter armor set with better lighting defense. Having to be mindful of stamina keeps me from being greedy, which gets you killed a lot in these games. I tried faster weapons too, but always did better with great swords.

bows/crossbows are easy mode against nameless king. I brought a crossbow on my SL1 playthrough just thinking it might help a little and ended up basically doing 60% of the damage to his second form with just the crossbow. It could have been more but I made myself at least somewhat play the fight out normally because it felt like cheating, though it is completely within the limits of an SL1 playthrough.

The carthus bloodring is also more useful vs nameless king than pretty much any other boss due to the delayed startup on a lot of his attacks.

I can imagine the Carthus Bloodring being EXTREMELY useful at a level where you’d get oneshot by attacks anyway.

I beat the last boss, now I’m leveling covenants before I start NG+. I really enjoyed this game. I played DS1, but not DS2 or BloodBorne. Being away from the series for a while, and then playing this was really something.

[details=Spoiler] Coming straight from the Nameless King, this guy was pretty tame,
Depending on the forms you get, he can be pretty easy. I felt like I could RTSD when he went to his magic form.
Except one time he cast homing soul mass then switched to curved sword and combo’d the shit outta me.

Apparently the platinum isn’t as far out of sight as I thought it was. I might go for it sometime. Getting covenant items is going to be a pain in the ass though.

Waiting until they fix Blue Sentinels/Darkmoon Blade matchmaking before trying for platinum.
