I’ve used Zero for awhile so I know how to do it but I don’t understand why it’s not okay to say it’s a pain in the ass that people like me would rather not deal with. It’s annoying but doesn’t mean I won’t “man up” ( lol at that shit) and play Vergil anyway.
Round trip’s durability and DT’s assist buffs are things I think we might just have to end up waiting till we play it to find out. Honestly I don’t even wanna look at my MVC3 copy now, for some reason it depresses me.
Yeah that’s what I meant to imply, but somehow it got lost in my sentence. Sliding to another input would require mapping another trigger button though, wouldn’t it?
Man why did I never think about this instead of doign everything the hard way. Seriously my hands would be in the most fucked up positions for the charges.
For those planning on using Vergil’s Round Harvest, you really need to grab Zero now and practice his Buster. Get the hang out of it now and it will save you time for when the game is out.
I thought it was common knowledge to do it and everyone did it. Where there really people doing it the hard way all this time? Seriously? You poor bastards.
Anyone think of any good uses for Vergil’s kicks yet? They look to me like they’ll be great for setting up air throws but other than that I don’t see much point in them because they just make combos harder. Maybe they’ll be great anti air tho who knows.
623L~H I believe. I didn’t notice anywhere that you could do the regular teleport motion like Wesker as teleport followup.
If his rising sun has any invincibility on point you could see some decent shenanigans. Not to mention if it has invincibility as a crossover counter with teleport followup and all. (We already know that it has at least some invincibility as an assist.) Rising Sun could easily be either combo-only or overpowered depending on only one or two factors.
2 or 3 pages back I believe. A video was spotted which showed the assist going through an attack that was clearly blocked by the point character at a time where the assist should have been hit.
Exactly how much invincibility it has is unknown of course. It could be that the attack’s active frames finished just before a long period of vulnerability before the first hit of RS.
I had a feeling that the properties of Judgement Cut in DT mode would allow him to combo into it. (From Max’s video.) Actually mentioned it several pages back. I wonder if you’ll be able to loop it at least two or three times. That video also shines a light on why I believed that Vergil will sit at the same tier as Trish and not as herp derp tier as most people are trying to make him out to be. But it’s still day -1, so there is no telling what Vergil “truly” has.
I don’t think Rising Sun has long amounts of invincibility.
According to Max, there is no assist in this game has invincibility to levels of Vanilla Tron/Haggar. Not to mention he said there is a little bit of invincibility, but not that much.
I find it hard to explain how the RS (Rising Sun) assist was able to win in that situation then. Maybe its hitbox makes it effective against low to the ground attacks despite limited invincibility? If that’s the case, it could be pretty good against certain characters… (Dormammu most blatantly…)
Edit: Ok. It’s stupid how Rising Sun and Rapid Slash have the same initials and are both assists besides. I’m going to refer to Rising Sun as his dp or up-kicks, or even just spell it out, from now on.
ahh, good shit bro, seen a few of your vids you’re damn good, I play Dante on pad myself, but i was thinking i might need an arcade stick to maximize my execution to get down the really advanced combos, just good to know there are awesome dante players who fight with the pad
