I’m just saying that making it a 2 second button-down charge move is not in any way an impediment to bullshit, which is what your post implied. As long as you can block, move around and attack normally while charging…

round trip>cancel with swords hyper> teleport madness. massive damage scaling though :frowning:

i think ill be using his round trip a fair bit actually on incoming characters and such.

It does slow down spamming of it. Which it would need seeing as it doesn’t take away his sword as it does for Trish. So it helps to reduce the potential abuse when combined with ports, which was all I was trying to get at.

Sorry that I had to hit the capslock there. Last time I expressed an annoyance with the button charge mechanic I got about a dozen posts over the following 24 hours saying how I should just man up and practice and stop whining. Despite having said as much myself in that same first post where I expressed the annoyance in the first place. ARGH

My main hope is that it’s chargeable with S so I can practice holding that like I might for X and her MFCs.

wonder if you can precharge before the match starts ala zeros buster? probably not i imagine. round trip cancelled into DT could be scary as fuck as well.

i didn’t know his level 3 (4, whatever) did 600K and otg’d. another 600K level 3, otg, and crumple afterwards.

Wondering the same and hoping it does. Also wondering if anybody has seen it disappear on Vergil being hit (or blocking) or not? And the durability is still in question too. I don’t see it going through beams, but taking at least one fireball would be nice.

From what I’ve gathered on Vergil so far, especially when juxtaposed to Dante, Dante/Vergil teams should be running this game:

-One vertical and one horizontal assist (Jam Session and Rapid Slash).
-Power-up state that can be applied to their assists (Devil Trigger).
-Completely safe DHCs (actually puts you at +frames) via Devil Trigger.
-Both team members have sword normals and teleports.
-Either of the two characters can fit well into any slot.

Etc. Like really, it’s all there. Smh, I love you Capcom, but just smh.

I hate dealing with chargeable moves and you can call me whatever you want but I can hold my own with anyone of the people on this site so it’s not a matter of skill. No matter what anybody says no one (at least not me) WANTS to deal with charging a move like round trip that takes away some of your normals. I learned it for X-23 but only because it was key to to play and I LOVE that character in the comic and would jumped through any hoops to play her.

I don’t think durability matters as long as it make them block enough to set up air dash overhead and teleporting mix-ups. I actually love the idea of using Round trip along with the swords hyper. Good idea I’m just gonna take everyone’s plan for my own lol.

Dude it’s easy as fuck to charge a moev and have access to everything. Just slide inputs to keep charge and use whatever.

Could you explain this further? I think I know what you’re saying, but I want to make sure.

This pretty much. Zero players have been doing it since day one

1.start charging the move, use other buttons to do whatever, when you need held down button, press and hold another button in exchange, keep charged move
2.???
3.profit

Most Zero players when charging Buster hold H, lets say they connect a low L, when the L hits they hold it down, release H and they can now use H attacks and keep the charge, as long as you hold a button before realeasing a previous one you keep the charge.

Though I would probably just charge Round Trip with L, and poke around with M.

Durability matters with Round Trip because if it has shitty durability like Trish’s round trip, it’ll either:

  1. come straight back
  2. projectile eats all of it’s durability meaning it’ll still be out but won’t hit anything.

so durability does matter.
