SOME invincibility I would say is still worth talking about in a game where assists generally have no invincibility other than 2 of them. The only other invincible get off me assist is Hulk’s upward gamma charge since it has super armor and is invincible before the start up. The only other assist that sort of works as a reversal to get people off of you is Akuma’s assist and that’s only really because it starts up extremely fast, has high priority and shuts down standard projectiles.
Yeah, my old team was Dante-X23-Akuma. I stopped playing it when I found out Akuma’s tatsu got nerfed. But now I’m going to run it back with Vergil, if Dante is still good enough. If not I might find another point char, or just play another team. I got so many ideas and stuff I want to try.
The move has invincibility. I tried out the assist and it did not.
Did it get beat out on start-up? Or was it like mid assist and it got beat?
Both.
Also the combo I tried in the eurogamer video has sooo much options, just not enough time to explore!
Hm I actually heard that the Assist version does not have Invincibility and the real version does. But I probably misheard then. And yea man…Vergil is gonna be such a beast, if not for his mix-up potential + range alone. Then he gets all this other stuff added to that lol.
My only fear is him being overused, but I’ll just have to be the best of them all then Also im playing DMC3SE right now to ease the wait. @Vulcan: Oh you did the combo, sweet
Seth talks about Vergil. You need to turn up the volume
Is there something I should aim to listen out for?
Can you tell me, I honestly cannot understand what he’s saying in the vid.
The assist version could not go through ryu’s fireball.
“Here comes Vergil… Rapid slash. Rapid slash is a very cheap assist. It has a little bit of invincibility on the [close in]… blah blah.”
I can’t make out the word. I think he says close in, throws it, opponent idk. Anyways he definitely said it was a cheap assist, but maybe he got assist and attack mixed up.
Hmm thanks for quoting.
The assist may have some invincibility against physical attacks rather than projectiles? I should have tested this.
Nice, I’ve been wondering what we could with teleport cancels.
>Stinger (wallbounce)> Round trip> more stuff or judgement cut>hyper for DMC3 style. Hype is reaching critical levels
I still have the one big complaint, he makes it look all too easy.
Which is fun for speculation, but can make for problematic gameplay
I wouldn’t worry too much yet. He’ll probably be a decent character with potential to be high tier, but nothing as BS as Wesker in the original MVC3.
Lol, why are the majority of people worried about him being to good or easy?
Non tournament players like to feel unique about which character they use. If you’re expecting Vergil to be this unique character that’s decent middle of the road that not too many people use…you picked the wrong character. Dante’s brother is not just going to be some random niche character. Gonna have to get over that one and just like the character for what he is.
Why would Vergils slash cancel into Devil Trigger like Beserker Slash?
If that would actually works its no wonder how people dont take this game serious as is. I thought Ultimate would get away from stupid stuff like that. Hit confirming quarter circle motions into character kills. Whatever.
Should have kept the top tier as is if you make a new top tier with the same shit.
I’m changing my SN to “nagging nancy”.
LOL. I’m sure it will scale harder than anything Wolverine could do in Vanilla any way. Or at least require more work at the least.
Skullgirls is looking like less durpy MVC3 any ways. Plus it’s an old school style Marvel game (MVC1 and before) where you get access to 6 buttons for normals.
here’s hoping SFxT isn’t any more derpy than MvC3 is. I just want a good crossover game that won’t incite nerf requests when the game isn’t even months old. >__>
I am not sure I have not heard a good amount of people whining about something for any fighting game released the last 2-3 years.
