Dark Reign Thread Spoilers and more

Actually when i was reading the newest Thunderbolts issue, they had a advertisement for the new Black Panther with Echo’s face in the costume. That would actually be pretty cool and could confirm why she isn’t in any of the New Avengers solicits.

On another note the Dark Reign: New Nation one shot was awesome especially the Agent of Atlas story. They’re definitely gonna be a thorn in Osbourne’s side.

I agree as well.

I am interested to read NA. Especially the story about Luke pops.

Hmm Echo as BP? wow that would be a serious stretch.

I loved Maleev’s art in the Dark Reign issue. I thought his Namor was hilarious. He looked like a lascivious drunk with his leering eyes and receding hairline. It made his dialogue really funny. (Hey, it’s a Marvel Event Book; gotta derive my entertainment however I can!) Maleev’s Emma Frost was really nice, too.

The only thing that kinda irked me about Maleev’s art in the issue was his decision to depict Osborn with realistic hair. I don’t know what it is, but I always expect Osborn to have those weird corn row-ish things on his head, not actual hair.

Spoiler

Songbird makes it out alive courtesy of Swordsman helping her out and telling her to heal up and prep for the “Dark Reign” of Osbourne.

Spoiler

Tony hands over everything to Norman and bounces out of HAMMER with Maria Hill. Norman thinks he has all the files on all the heroes BUT Tony pulls a fast one and uploads a virus that erases all the files. At the end Tony tells Potts and Hill that the files are in his head now. So Norman is basically declaring war on Stark now.

Adi Granov’s variant cover to DARK AVENGERS #1

good job Tony!!

wow awesome cover!

Hmmm cover is nice but could go with more characters in there. Still nice colouring though.

Read the recently ended Panther series, and yes by that I do mean the Hudlin issues, then again I thought he always had a sister :stuck_out_tongue:

@Kusanagi- Yeah I saw that as well, guess the Panther will have a different identity for each story or issue?

Oh no wonder. The only issues I’ve read of Hudlin’s run were the HoM one, skimmed through the issue where he met Doom and I think one where he teamed up with Luke Cage.

Don’t forget about the part where T’challat raps Apocalypse with Black Bolt and the Big A gets his ass handed to him by one word.
Now THAT’S prep time.
HAIL TO THE KINGS, HOMIES!

This all feels like a big rip off of the Rogues from DC. Just on a larger more crossover-y scale.

“Hey we’ve been getting beat up forever, lets finally team up”

Also, I still think it’s really stupid they arrested Dr Doom, but I always enjoy a good Dr Doom/Namor encounter. They work so well together character wise.

Getting captured is really part of Doom’s plan.
Do not presume to think of Doom to think on the same concepts that normal men do.

Recent New Avenger issue was a pretty good followup for this post-Secret Invasion arc.
The team is pretty stacked right now. Lets see we have:
Captain America, Ms. Marvel, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Spider-Woman, Jessica Drew, Wolverine, Ronin, Mockingbird, Spider-Man.

But what it really came down to was

Spoiler

At the end of the issue,Luke Cage ends up asking Norman Osbourne for help in tracking down his kid.

I’m taking a guess that somehow Gargan and the symbiote decide to tone it down on the bigness and make themselves look like Spiderman now.
Its an interesting line up though.

after reading that i think it is an overall copout by cage. That is a bit too soon for him asking for help from him imo

what other options did he have?
They basically busted up every bad guy just to get that lead and it ended up getting botched up by an ex-Shield agent.

At any rate, War Machine #1 offers some clues as to who Iron Patriot could be

War Machine #1

Spoiler

So apparently Rhodey was injured awhile back and Tony decided to fix him up with various tech including Wakandan to get him back to form. Rhodey also has a brand new body thats being looked after in a stasis tank so he can transfer to. The end of the issue has Osbourne stealing the body.

but this is after like what 2 days of searching and he gives up that easily?

I’m guessing he figures Osbourne can help him out quickly. But with the way the solicits for New Avengers #50 has, that deal probably went sour.
