Uh…any assist is as easy to bait as any other assist. I suppose you mean when baited he’ll whiff a lot.
His use is much more limited than Cyke and when he hits you can’t do nearly as much afterwards but purely for breaking the trap he is better IMO.
In the first three matches calling Cyke was able to break up the S/D trap exactly zero times. I don’t feel like watching all the matches again but it doesn’t get much better.
It’s hard to do worse than zero.
the only time i find it useful to call an AAA is
when strider teleports behind you (which can just as easily NOT work if they timed the doom assist right. but even a trade should be considered successful)
when you’re already in control and not subject to the trap
if you’re a flying character (sent) and time it to hit strider.
when you have an AAA you want it to be a long lasting one to hope to get rid of orbs. ie CABLE or cyke AAA. when you get that hit, you need to take advantage considering striders advantage so something to combo off of easily(cyke) would be one of the best. honestly, i think DP should have chosen storm/sent/cyke

Let me make it clear, I’m not saying Ken is a better character or even a better assist against S/D. I’m talking specifically about when S/D is on your ass.
Ken is pretty fucking useless when you are Sent flying around or in the normal course of gameplay, I’m just saying he’s better when you are sitting there eating orbs and rocks already.
If you watch the last bit of match 3 when Storm is getting wailed on you can see twice in a row Cyke jumps in to assist, does nothing and jumps back out.
I’m not claiming that x/x/Ken is some sort of awesome “trap breaking team.” I was pointing out that if you are talking about assists you can call while orbs and rocks are in your face Ken is a lot better than Cammy or Cyke. That said, there is a reason nobody picks Ken as an assist any more.
Edit: There’s only room in my life for one person whose job it is to follow me around and argue with me. If you become that guy you’ll break poor little Maj’s heart and we all know how sensitive he is.
