It’s one thing to say that DPC brought some life back into Marvel and the scene overall, but to base your entire consideration on going to EVO at all, or the utmost enjoyment to get out of EVO on DPC is really pushing it, don’t you think?

I said that what he is doing is GOOD, because it makes the scene LESS boring. How is that hating? I’m saying the opposite of what you think, apparently. There has been random drama over the years but nothing near this. How many videos have you seen with people making threats to people’s lives, challenging 15k worth of money matches to people, and people posting threatening to stab and shoot people (people posting who actually GO to events, not randoms)? That doesn’t happen very often.
My comment is completely valid. Marvel hasn’t been like this, hence, the reaction to the shit. If this was normal, people wouldn’t be all over it like they are.

When the DSP-JAHA-Genghis incident occurred, nobody was banned, why DPC?
Did anything bad happen after the DPC-Clockwork or DPC-Shady MMs? Did anything wrong occur between DPC and Duc while they were both there?

I don’t think DPC and his crew are really looking to fight. Those “body guards” are just there in case somebody tries to front DPC. In those videos, they are just acting, kinda like the WWE.
Either way, those DPC money matches can still be held somewhere else, there is a lot of money involved.

I understand what and why it happend without seeing or reading what the latest drama was with duc jr. He came to FR8 and nearly got his ass whooped by a group of people. With me and my staff having to save him from the beat down that was about to happen just because he couldn’t stop talking shit to everyone while he was at FR8. I shouldn’t have to break up anything during the tournament. I’m too busy worried about making sure everything is running smoothly I don’t have time for that type of bullshit. I would hope after that event at FR8 he would have learned his lesson as he sat outside crying his eyes out because he was so scared. But I guess some people don’t learn unless you take something from them. In my 10 years of running FinalRound I never had any problem’s/drama at any (FR) until Duc Jr. came to my event. Just because someone is good at a videogame doesn’t give them the right to attend EVO if they threaten people with violence. IMO I don’t think duc jr. would act on these threats, but the pack/pose/followers/dickriders would start something and a brawl could follow. This is the quickest way to lose sponsership IMO. There’s always room for some good shit talking, but when you get on the personal side of the shit talking/threaten people you cross the line IMO.

A) Who cares, he probably wasn’t going to make top 8 in Marvel anyways. Probably not even top 8 at Evo West. This will just save him some money.
B) If I was him and his crew, I’d still plan a Vegas vacation that weekend anyways. All the matches they want to do can still take place. I think aside from Sanford/Duc last year almost all the big money matches took place out of the Evo hall.
This thread (and the reason behind it) are much ado about nothing. Yeah both sides probably need to turn their volume down but we, the players, will still handle everything the right way in the end.

I think Mike Chaos should be allowed to EVO b/c as far as anyone can tell, he has never actually acted on any of this shittalking. Dark Prince has pulled a knife before…thats enough evidence for a lifetime ban IMO.

Ricky was banned because he owed the Cannons big money from a trip to Japan, not for posing a threat(unless pink hello kitty tank tops give you a seizure or something) . I think they worked it out later.
He should still go and have all the money matches in people’s hotel rooms. Keep it hype.
