This is step in the right direction, I love the drama, but I was personally to suggest this idea at evo worlds when the time comes. I didn’t think or know it was already in the process.
Nothing would probably happen at evo west, but at evo world, you can bet it will turn into a “look at me, i’m the dark prince show”

DPC is straight HYPE for Evo. He’s better for the series than Toyota’s sponsership is.
It’s a bad move, business wise for Evo, but I can see why they did it. I don’t agree with banning him from the series, cause it’s pretty obvious this guy’s all talk. He didn’t start shit with Clockwork when they played face to face. I didn’t hear of any fights he’s been involved in with any players he has beef with. He continues to diss clockwork, but it’s all talk, and it’s pretty obvious.
Don’t ban this kid. He’s got his head on backwards, sure, but when did fighting games become shit talk oblivious? It’s part of the community, and it’s part of the culture.

But I could easily see EC guys calling him out, because of all the shit talk he’s done, and he thinks he’s hot cause he has his little chollo friends. I’m sure DP wouldn’t do anything himself, but if he has entourage there I could easily see a fight between random people we don’t know about.

Not for nothing, but he’s done a lot more for Marvel than you have. Think about it: The dude was a hype machine. I don’t even play Marvel AT ALL and I was still feeling the heat. He made it fun. Granted, he got too out of hand with it, but this is what EVERYONE was looking for. You can’t get this kind of hype for ANY other kind of game.

Like many have said, it’s things like this that are keeping the scene alive. If you watched the ShadyK matches, he played very well. The dude is good. His personality is crap most of the time, but he can play the game.
It’s a shame he had to go back to his old ways that quick. After all, he did compose himself pretty well in the ShadyK matches and did his thing. No fuss, no muss.
