DARK AWAKE aka CHAOS BREAKER, on SALE on Jap PSN NOW!! (ReadTheFirstPost)GARAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Just got my codes and it took three days and that’s only because I didn’t know to email them about sending them through email. o i went ahead and emailed them ;last night and it was in my email this morning : ). Ill be on later if anybody wants to play

Okay, from what I’ve seen Orc’s main strategy is to just poke the hell out of them with assists/forward B and C and maybe land the occasional big damage punisher. To that end, I’ve mostly seen/found B xx 63214 D juggled into 623 C and C xx 236 A xx 236236 C (which does like 70% to Ramda if you have the spike mace). Is there anything big I’m missing?

This game owns really hard so far.

GerhardsenII my favorite character, but also my weakest. could be weakest in game ??

also, how come this has not got front page? it’s a good game. we’d get some more peeps playing

Nah he’s mid, he is the 2nd best Dwarf character behind Vargan.
Feena, Zon, Dorgan, and Goblin are all guaranteed lower than him and then the rest of mid is just sort of random.

that’s kinda reassuring, i may be just playing him wrong. it seems like i need meter with him. when people get in on him with no meter he gets stomped on, i almost feel stuck. he feels big time anticipory, if that makes sense.

You mean anticipatory?
And yeah once people are on top of him it’s difficult to get people away. If you use him, a really good item is Talisman, it helps push people away and he has a corner loop with 2C -> 236B (No Bullet) that you can set up off of the Talisman IB.
But basically you want to zone out with his jumping D I believe.
He is pretty much like Iggy from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure if you have played that.
A lot of his game revolves around his jumping grenade projectile, to a tick throw or pressure/mixup. Stay on a strong offensive game throughout the match, and if you get pressured, wait for a delay in their rushdown and 214A, it’s good to push people out and it’s pretty safe if it clashes.
Sorry, I don’t play G-II and the wikis dont have much info so I can’t give really in-depth strats without giving him a few matches on one of my teams

Ncsx.com has codes too. They also email them same day if bought before 5pm eastern time.

Where exactly on this site are the cards, I searched for awhile, but couldn’t find them. Also, I’m still open for gamesharing if somebody is still willing to gameshare their game.

oops

Found a couple of neat things about the console port from the Japanese wiki

In Practice Mode only, you can hold Select+An Attack Button while hovering over Random Select to choose one of the 3 boss characters. Here is the chart:

You can also hold D while you chose the characters for more colors.

Thanks man.

I still think Dark Awake is a really terrific name. The only title that could have possibly been better for this game is “Donjons & Dragons.”

Ordered my codes yesterday through Ebay and got them today.
Fooling around in training mode as we speak.

anyone know how to choose online play? this game is pretty cool for sure.

It’s the 2nd option on the main menu, and then from there your options are Rank Match and Player Match, with the 3rd option just being your player card. Once you choose one, your options are then Quick Match, Custom Match and Create Match. The bottom option (if in Player Match) is where you can go to view and accept/decline any match invitations sent to you.

Here is a full translated Menu layout for Chaos Breaker. Bold names are the Main Menu interface, indented and dotted names are the choices in the first screen of the selected option, and the italicized names are the choices in the final screen of the selected option:

thanks a ton ghostal.

Can we get this in the SRK wiki? I’d be willing to do it and get some of the combos from that blog into the SRK wiki for the characters as well.

Believe me, if I had an account on the SRK wiki I would be flooding it with all of this info and exponentially more.
If you would like to, I’d be happy to periodically shoot you info to just basically copy+paste onto the wiki at your leisure since I am unable to do so.
