Im asking because I want to get as much background info as early as possible. We’re filming a small Daken fan-action-scene and I wanted to wear the mask though everyone knows “Pshh Daken doesn’t wear a mask.” That’s why Im so enthusiastic. Cause it looks like it may be an opportunity.
I definitely want to beat all those other half-ass fan films that will come out around the time the new Wolverine movie is released.
Are really making a fan film? Because that would really be awesome and exciting. What do you want to know about Daken? Because I read every single issue of Origins and I’m really looking forward to his appearance in Dark Avengers too.
Basically Daken suffers from some Superiority complex issues, so he treats everyone like they are beneath him. Growing up he was resented by his adopted dad, mother, and all the kids in the Japanese village. When Romulus pulled him away from all of that, he filled his head with all of these ideas if being in a superior race. Daken believe he was a chosen one and that he was destined for greater things. But now the truth was revealed and we find out that Romulus doesn’t give a shit about Daken. This was all just to piss Logan off and get back at him for something else. Which makes me think that Romulus could be Dog, if they decide to pretend that Loeb’s Lupine thing never happened.
Daken has a exceeded life span like his father so he has probably been though a lot of shit that we don’t know. There is definitely hidden potential for a few good writers to do some great things with him. Currently he does need to get his ass beaten down by some of Marvel’s heavy hitters. Like Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z, he is the type of villain that we could feel sympathy for and would like to see him become good eventually. Right now though he doesn’t care who he steps on he just wants to destroy anyone who had anything to do with his real mother’s death.
Why so attached to his mom? He didn’t have a relationship with his mom, so it’s probably because the people responsible robbed him of any chance of a normal life. Also it’s been the only thing keeping him going, just like the Punisher who needs to make every criminal pay.
nah i agree. that is ytf i want to do fan action-scenes about him. i wanted to do a decent wolverine scene but opted for daken bc:

my original idea is just test shots. then a small action scene daken vs security guards. i love action, and am studying film in college for that. so it wont be a fan"Trailer" or fan-“film.”
i want stuff to take place before he shows up in the Origins. itll be like a small series (4 short episodes w/ story preludes… a year.) this is getting highly off topic and just a lot of mental masturbation (if anything were to come out the earliest would be fall 09) so gabriel or anyone who can give good Daken info pm me. i just started learning about him a few months ago.
anyway carry on about the dark avengers. it intrigues but i wonder how long itll last.
Fist, ask me whatever you want to know. I’ve read Origins a few times, so I know a little more about it. I’m usually the only one who likes the series, so I end up defending it a lot.
