Dante Video Posting Thread

You play with the same team as me O.O

Cheers mate, got yourself a retarded-ly powerful team. I soul searched for months trying to find a good third for Task and Dante, only to depressed-ly realize Tron assist is flawless behind them.

I too spent awhile forming that team. I was already playing Dante and Tron but really couldn’t find a third. I play it a little differently than you do but a lot of that is because my Dante is not nearly as good as yours. Also, I run the team Dante/Tron/Taskmaster usually. I hate having Tron as an anchor.

I really liked you using Taskmasters downward arrows from the air and then DHC’ing into Devil Trigger for the OTG. Good, smart shit right there.

Yeah, I felt pretty brilliant when I invented that downwards arrows to DT DHC… Taskmaster and Dante have literally flawless DHC, Dante can DHC from all of Taskmaster’s 6 arrow supers. That’s why I wouldn’t dream of putting my order Task/Tron/Dante. Regardless, Tron isn’t an anchor, she’s just sitting out of the way until one of the others dies, then she cross counters in and “sacrifices herself or gets lucky” so I can L3 XFC chip out anything that still breaths.

I actually prefer to do down arrows to the angled arrow super to end combos, then DHC into Million Dollars. Lazy, but you can still do entirely too much damage off of it. Dante does pair really well with characters that don’t use special states in their full combos like Taskmaster and Zero.

Dante, Tron and Whoever are a sick team Im using zero for now but tasky, wesker or anyone else is just a beastly team… I love the fact every dante is learning the power of tron

Yeah. It’s true your 3rd slot doesn’t have to be your “anchor”. I love playing it Dante/Tron/Task but I will probably switch up and try playing it Task/Dante/Tron just because of you lol.

I’m flattered. :]

Also, I would definitely agree with your choice. I believe you’d have a much harder time with Dante/Tron/Taskmaster, because you don’t have the same kind of touch of death power, Tron comes in after your opponent one shots Dante, and Taskmaster has more difficulty killing people quickly and safely in L3 XFC than Dante.

Besides, watching how horrified people are when Taskmaster does down arrows and the combo is only halfway finished is too funny.

Haha. As I am learning I’ve been doing inefficient DHCs like long Dante combo Million dollars to Lunch Time or Million Dollars to King Servbot in the corner. Good damage but no where near as nice as your combos.

Well if you want more footage for more ideas, I’m also often on the channel “natearistata”, I posted it a page or so back. Also, my opponents there are certainly stronger.

It’d help if you’d explain the DHC combo. I am having a bit of trouble OTG’ing once I come out in Devil Trigger.

It’s very simple; if Taskmaster is really high in the air for downwards arrows, you have all the time in the world to hit cold shower. If Taskmaster is roughly the height of his jump, you still have a good amount of time to hit it. If Taskmaster performed a TK downwards arrow super, however, it can be anywhere from impossible to a 1f-4f link. That will be the most important one to practice. Basically, you’re just tiger kneeing the down super as high as you can, then linking the transformation to 3HHH as fast as possible. Practice up!

What is your follow up after Cold Shower?

If it’s after a full combo, I go straight to 3HHH 6H boldcancel (teleport if not in corner) jS double killer bee or titanium2 ender. If it’s after a taskmaster throw > TK super, I do full confirm as if it was off of jS or hammer (3HHH~S sjHammer 3HHH 6H BC (tele if non corner) jS double killer bee or titanium2).

Okay. Thank you

Fair warning, there MAY be higher damage/meter confirms; these are just the most stable extremely potent combos I was able to learn and be able to hit confirm on 100% of the cast nearly 100% of the time. I think acid rain loops are theoretically stronger, but from what I’ve seen/practiced, they’re relatively unstable (at least without immense practice).

They probably are but I have never been too successful at doing them ><"

I think I’ve gotten to the point in Acid Rain loops where I can tell if the next Acid Rain will connect or not, or if I should just do a jump S, or a standing S into jump S. That intuition comes with time, but I’ve done that combo in training mode many many times so I can “feel” it. As always, practice makes perfect.

I might learn them eventually, too much to do right now though.

Agreed!
