For any Dante player who also uses Doom missiles, combo is a lot easier than it looks to land consistently, hardest parts would be the dash up, and to TK acid rain after standing S, which in turn isn’t all that hard. just manages to build two meters on its own, but considering the meter gained from chip damage you take from blocking and moving around while fighting, it shouldn’t be a big issue.
I’d really recommend that you use Hammer instead of j.S after the Acid Rain > j.H/j.M, it’s more consistent due to Hammer’s Downward hitbox becoming active faster than the time it takes for j.S to fall. It doesn’t cause flying screen either. Also does more damage.
Also, I’ve been using this as my BnB on one of my alt teams, the fact that the Doom extension works anywhere on the screen is pure win.
I don’t think I posted anything yet, but I came up with other stuff involving Missiles a little while ago…
Whatever into hard knockdown > Cold Shower > Stinger + Call Doom > Bold Move/Bold Cancel Teleport > Hammer > Rain Storm > Missiles Hit > Hammer > etc. This is usually what I do while in x-factor.
Hard knockdown in the corner > Call Doom > Cold Shower > Stinger > (Wait for them to cross back over Dante) > S > Tiger Knee Acid Rain > Acid Rain (They get put back into the corner before the second Acid Rain) > S > j.S > etc. Timing is strict, looks fancy, builds hella meter.

I play on pad, so I manually buffer the dash on the D-pad.
Lol we should definitely share our notes bro, I have been playing Dante/Doom missiles since the early vanilla days, so I also have some nasty tactics with the duo. Normally I myself would also use hammer in this combo, but I wanted to simplify it to it’s most basic extent to make it easier for any Dante player to use I guess lol.

I tried this with Vergil, instead of tron. timing is super strict though.
so basically, acid rain, tag in vergil, cr fierce lunar phase (hold charge), cr fierce stinger, release charge after wall bounce etc
I can picture this setup working with spencer as well. Il test it later, if thats the case, then we may have a way to get huge damage meterless damage off up-grapple loops (with other assists of course eg crystal/hidden missiles/otg assist)
I always knew you could special cancel Drive, but Hysteric?!?! lol I definitely will be able to spam this move more efficiantly with Doom missiles now.
That was pretty fucking cool. I had a similar anti Vanilla phoenix setup that abused the thunderbolt properties to guarantee a kill or force her to factor it up.
About the thuderbolt being -11 on block, I think it depends on the distance. I would test it but I have no consoles anymore u_u
Yeah, I’m just getting the numbers from the guide. But I’ve seen people take like 6 Thunderbolts in a row, and I don’t know if it’s because it’s actually that hard to get out of, or they’re just unsure of what to do. And a tiger knee’d Vortex is probably more than +10. That move is so fucking stupid lol
And yes, the song is beyond amazing. Jazz is sex, Ace Attorney music is sex, together it’s almost too much.
Was just fucking around in training mode, came across this corner set up, it’s pretty cool if you ask me.
Basically you just set up your opponent in the air to get sandwiched by both doom missiles and acid rain allowing you to go for any corner mixup of your choosing, adding any additional mixup after that can make this set up dangerously potent. if for some reason they choose not to block, the entire set up just connects into one big combo anyways.
