j:m::h::qcf::l: :s::h::f::h: :d::atk::s::d::s: I usually follow with hammer but my problem is that I never know what side I tele to and when I find out its too late. Anyway to like guarantee which side you’ll land on because I prefer not to use j:s:

Everyone always told me to do prop shredder teleport with :d::d::u::s: but, I fuck it up all of the time.
However if I do :d::u::d::s: I’m at like 90% success rate (as of this post)
Is there a reason I shouldn’t be using this method?
No but I’ve never seen anyone do it like that. :d::d::u::s: works for me 99% of the time.

Bold Canceling is a must, BUT, am I putting too much emphasis on trying to convert damage out of stinger? I can bold cancel my ass off, but I’m like a zombie constantly trying to land stinger and its costing my Dante which is basically the weakest link on the team.
bc stinger into :qcb::l::h: safe against pushblocks and relatively safe if not. Won’t cost you your dante and if they are in air just do :h::s: Other than that just do tele mixups and jump in :h:/
with some zoning at the same time. Convert all jump :s: to hammers. You shouldn’t be losing dante if you play him right because he’s a pretty safe char.
Keep in mind Stinger can not be cancelled if it whiffs, so covering yourself with an assist is a good idea.
After j :s: I do :f::qcf: j:h: xx air play j:h: on the ground
:h: xx :df::h: xx Pop Shredder then cancel Pop Shredder into :qcf::l: j:h: then Hammer and call Vergil assist then :qcf::l: xx Devil Trigger :s: :qcf::l: :s: then j:s: :dp:
then :qcf::atk::atk: to end the combo. This is 800k with two bars and 1 assist but it’s corner only but it’s a great damaging combo.
What’s the timing/rhythm for hitting people with Grapple after a Stinger Lvl. 2? I swear this sequence is going to be the death of me with how finicky the system wants to be in order for me to not get a Jet Stream (cross ups, how do they fucking work?) or a Jam Session when I’m trying to hammer out the inputs.
I know it’s something like :df::h: (2 shots for best effectiveness) :f::h: :l:+:s: :qcf::h::h: but with my execution (playing on 360 pad with control stick at current), either:

All 4 shots of Cold Shower comes out and I bold move in the wrong direction (if I drop the grapple input) or I get Jet Stream since the game thinks I was on the other side of the opponent after Stinger and the move was read as a QCB.

I get the sequence right but the actual grappling hook misses the target.
Anyone want to share some insight?
Having problems with dante as point. Been playing him as anchor for a while for my Zero/Vergil/Dante team, but now that I’m trying out Dante/Doom/Ammy dante’s turning out to be the weakest link. My common approach is multilock/acidrain/Hysteric + assist into teleport, or dash in and then cr.L. Any other tools I should abuse?
Also, is it possible to use stinger then confirm if the enemy blocked/got hit BEFORE pressing :l:+:s: ? Or do I have to pre-empt boldcancelling my stingers?
You can cancel Stinger kind of late, but you’d have to have some godly reflexes to confirm if it hit or not. I can’t think of a reason to not cancel it, though. When I use Stinger I cancel it into either Reverb Shock or Teleport, or just do Bold Move, Air Dash.
Stinger>Reverb, on the other hand, gives you plenty of time to confirm. It’s easy to autopilot into Fireworks every time, but if you just practice it a bit the confirm really isn’t that difficult. From there either go into Fireworks for chip, or Devil Trigger for a combo or to continue pressure. You can cancel Fireworks into Devil Trigger and get a combo off that, but it’s rather iffy, and scaled to shit right off the bat anyway.
I just wanna say, being able to do Grapple resets whenever you want on any hit confirm is probably one of the most important things to learn for Dante right now.
Thanks for the advice, and I guess what I said was incomplete though. By pre-empt I meant choosing between volcano/reverb shock to BC into, but yeah you’d probably need godly reflexes for that.
QFT. And to get grapple instead of jet stream you have to back up then input everything.

Which assist did you use? I actually try to do the “optimal” Hammer/j.S combo after landing one.
Spencer grapple but you can get plenty of assists. Almost any actually.
What mixups do you use after grapple resets?

- Call Felicia, air dash backwards, j.H
- Call Felicia, air dash forwards, j.H
- Dash forward, jump forward, airdash backwards, j.M
- Call Felicia, Hammer
- Grapple, Devil Trigger (shoutouts to DHC glitch), air dash forward then backward or don’t airdash again at all, j.M
- Air dash forward into a low
