Does anybody have any tips on the timing of the clay pigeon loop? I’ve been trying for almost 2-3 months and i still cant get it…any help will be greatly appreciated
After Volcano do j.M j.H Killerbee (Walk back for a couple frames) st. S (delay) Hx6 Link st.S and repeat. Get a rhythm to the gunshots instead of just mashing so can time the st.S link. Basically you just want to have them as high as possible so when they fall you can hit :s: and not get prop shredder.
I can do 2-4 loops pretty consistently (character depending). I find the stinger afterwards to be the more difficult part since their height, fall speed, and hit box all play a factor.

I’m having a lot of trouble using Zero’s uppercut assist. If I recall, it is possible to use his assist to combo off of an airthrow, right? I haven’t managed to do it once, even if it looked like it was going to work. Also, I can’t use it in the later portions of combos due to HSD; am I doing something wrong, or is it just not possible?
I have managed to combo off of an airthrow with Felicia’s rolling buckler occasionally by doing killer bee rather than hammer, though. Can Felicia’s rolling buckler possibly be used elsewhere in a combo?
I’m not sure, but it might help to wait a little longer before hitting the H command which sends out the charge shots. I know I’ve had to let them float a little higher up like that when trying to practice the charge shot loops, and I wasn’t able to get it to work the normal way I would do charge shots (doing them immediately after launching).
It’s not gonna work unless you are at a really specific height which is way higher than regular airthrow height.
Zero uppercut extensions are extremely specific, you really have to know what you’re doing if you want to use his assist that way

hey how do you guys time your gun shot loops? how many times can you loop it? and how many times do you hit H to fire up shots? also when would you want to use gun shot loops versus any other bnb?
This question has been asked a lot so hopefully this write up will answer all yours and everyone else’s questions.
How to do Shot Loops
Step 1: Avoiding accidental Prop Shredders
- Set dummy to All Guard.
- Hit the dummy st.S into Clay Pigeon. Press H 5-6 times. The guide says you can do 6, but 5 times gets you the same amount of shots. I do 6 for rhythmic purposes.
- Do this until you get the timing down for hitting :s: for the relaunch without getting a prop shredder after clay pigeon.
Step 2: Positioning and Setup
The combo I use to go into my shot loops is just LMH Stinger Volcano j.MH Killerbee [st.S Shots] x n Stinger Lvl2 into a combo of your choosing. Now here are all the tricks to making this possible.
A. After killerbee you should walk back a tick before launching them.
B. Slight delay between launcher and clay pigeon to get a good height for the relaunches. If you can’t get a relaunch wait longer, if they flip out shoot earlier.
C. When doing your shots get familiar visually seeing how many shots are fired so you know when it’s over and can get ready to relaunch. This is useful when you have to vary the amount of shots.
D. This may not be necessary for the second loop (doesn’t hurt), but for the 3rd and 4th loops hold forward so Dante can take steps to get in range for another st.S.
E. In terms of connecting the Stinger, a tip from MasaBlade that helped me was to wait until they’re around normal jump height to input Stinger. This part you have to play with. If you whiff and they’re behind you, too early, in front, too late.
Step 3: Practice!
Using the max amount of shots the most amount of times I’ve been able to loop it is 4. I do shot loops mid-screen since I don’t have access to the corner to do my Vergil Rapid Slash extension. The damage and meter build is probably the best you can get mid-screen without assists. I also do shot loops off of Hammer/j.S confirms because that shit does hella damage. Practice up, impress your friends.
God dammit why do I have so much trouble with stinger teles? I get it 70% of the time but at that when I tele the side is random so instead of being able to just hammer I have to use :s: so I always land the knockdown and with :s: I can’t get extensions.
Is there any way to make you tele to the right side every time?
On that note, sometimes when I do: (hard knockdown) df:h: stinger. BC teleport", i end up teleporting and staying fullscreen away instead of behind the opponent. Am I BC teleporting too quickly or something?
nah that happens, do 2 shots instead of 4 and you’ll be good
I’m having serious issues with connecting the stinger after the shot loops. what I do most of the time is j.s,volcano, jmh, killerbee, shh(two shots), shh(two shots), shhhhh(all shots), stinger, whatever but I can’t get it… Like in what cjaycr said I’m doing it too early and going under them. Unfortunately that bit of advice about them being at normal jump height doesn’t help considering I can’t see the ground and they fall very fast.
You’ll get used to the timing. Delay it a bit. It’s also very spacing dependent. You can’t be too close or the Stinger will whiff. You are actually pushing them back with the upshots gunshots into the Stinger.
Wow I just found out if I don’t use the loops then I get exactly the same amount of damage as if I did do them…Great

So then when would you want to use shot loops? Do they build more meter or something? >.<
you can get more dmg AND meter from loops, especially off hammer. you have to do a perfect amount of reps to not push dmg scaling too far. personally i do max reps for meter and dhc to vergil
Can you give me the combo you do for j:s: or hammer with vergil then?
What followups do you guys use after j:s:. Kinetic you probably don’t want mine but I think the damage is decent.
:dp: j:h: air play j:h: :h::s: j:h::qcf:l: dash back :s::h::f::h:… Its 800k for 1 bar and 1 assist anywhere on screen.
Why do people start combos with :df::h::h::h: when you can use the volcano airplay killer bee starter.
And I was watching a tutorial and it said instead of doing :d::s::atk::d::s: or :s::atk::d::d::s: I can use :d::d::h::s:. Would that work for stinger teles?
