Pretty much. Dark Phoenix is still incredibly stupid, killing regular Phoenix before she gets 5 bars is much easier and more stable than before, especially with the lower health.

would be cool (although not that useful) if you could bold cancel in the air, kinda like jumping off the heads of enemies in the air in DMC

Now I’m imagining Dante using the Hammer like how he does in DMC3, in UMvC3.

Definitely going to be struggling to build 2 full meters in a bnb now it seems. No more start of round 1.1 million triple DHC combos for my team. LOL.

Also does anyone know how you do that combo in the corner?

Like during the s.H, S launch, air guns part, I try to do that in the corner in vanilla but I can’t get the air guns to hit them so I can land prop shredder after. You won’t be able to do s.M, s.H, cold shower in Ultimate so I’ll need to learn that.

Back dash standing S after the j.H

Delay each hit as late as possible, so they dont go above the gun shots. It can be a little difficult but I usually do it outside of the corner anyways so I don’t have to SJC prop shredder into teleport. I personally think this way is better in all situations because it takes them to the corner everytime(but it’s not quite as flashy).

stinger>bc>volcano>j.m>j.h>killer bee>S>H>S. If you do delay the launcher after the groundbounce until they begin to fall it easily connects into gunshots and prop shredder even in the corner. That may not work in ultimate with the reduced hitbox for killer bee.

You can also jump back after volcano for j.h>air play>j.h>H>S>H>S.

  • During Devil Trigger, Dante can now triple jump and double air dash.

  • Additional hits can be added to Million Dollars through rapid buttons presses.

Yeah I knew they weren’t going to take all of hammer invincibility away. The nerf is exactly how I predicted. Longer start up for invincibility, less invincible frames.They were just going to make it so you have to know specifically when something is coming out to counter it. No more just throwing it out and expecting it to protect you from every mix up in the game for 15 frames. You have to know something is coming and time it specifically now.

Everything else is warranted and stuff that allowed him to too easily shut down a lot of the other cast. He’ll just be more reliant on DT to cover some matchups now.

Not surprised by these changes, but I gotta ask. What the hell is “Clay Pidgeon?”

I’mma guess that it’s the upward gunshots that he can do after a s.S. They probably lowered the float to try to remove the s.S xx “Clay Pigeon” loop.
