Got your priorities straight I see
I find it incredibly hard to combo anything after a j.LK, the hit-stun is so tiny you need to land it as deep/late as possibly and be as quick as possible on the follow-up light attack x_x;;

j.lk land FP koryuken XX legendary taunt
i dont know what i was thinking
Yeah instant DPs are best for dealing with AA Focus, especially with lag thrown in itâs pretty damn hard to land the Focus before they can fire off a DP.
I canât believe no one has found this out/mentioned itâŚ
THE BEST OPTION SELECTION EVER! ->
c.MK o-s Legendary Taunt, thatâs right! Is there nothing better than Option Selecting the Legendary Taunt?
Krack talking about OSâing Knee and buffering Legendary Taunt got me thinking and then it suddenly hit me. Itâs basically just c.MK xx Legendary Taunt but you aim the c.MK in front of their feet, if they donât move forward then you just get a c.MK, if the do c.MK connects and cancels into the Legendary Taunt. I do something similar with Sakuraâs c.MK xx Shou, 'cept itâs much easier to do and doesnât require your whole Super meter (although can be Super cancelled for great results ), I also do this with c.MK xx EX Dankuu, itâs one of the easiest forms of âOption Selectingâ  :bgrin:
NICE!.
Iâll have to add both of those to my game. What other option selects are there for Dan? Iâm too dumb to think in those terms on my own.
Universal c.LK o-s tech throw/block (DB+LP+LK) - c.LK dominant, tech throw and block if âdone rightâ.
j.HK o-s EX KRK (thanks to UltraDavid) (Rufus) - j.HK dominant on block or hit and EX KRK catches EX Jesus Kick.
cross-up j.MK o-s Shissou Buraiken (for Dhalsim, Bison and Seth) - j.MK dominant on block or hit, Shissou Buraiken catches both backwards teleports but not forwards, RDP+KKK is the usual escape response to cross-up attempts. Seems kinda pinicky.
c.MK o-s EX Dankuu - c.MK only dominant on whiff, c.MK xx EX Dankuu cancel on hit.
c.MK o-s Legendary Taunt - same as above but with Legendary Taunt
cross-up j.MK or j.HK o-s HK Dankuu (for Vega) - j.MK or j.HK dominant on block or hit, HK Dankuu if Back Flip - will catch single flip but not double, however should recover in time to punish.
Those are all the ones I can think of. Ones involving jump-ins are tricky as you need to do the Option Select and continue the combo (e.g. s.MP xx Dankuu).
THANKS! The only one I use is the universalâŚ
About HP koryuken xx FADC xx HK Danku it seems to be a spacing, not timing issue (alhough it does require abit of timing execution, still simple). Itâs fairly simple to do, but as someone mentioned for some resason it doesnât work at point blank range, I get random moves like close HK, but spaced right land this most of time.
Updated my Option Select list with corrections, though Iâm still not sure about the Vega one, have to try it later.
Danâs Best In-My-Opinion-Most-Practical-Non-Ultra Corner Combo
After any normal and Gadouken in the corner, on the characters listed below youâll want to follow up with a FADC s.MP xx EX Gadouken > s.MP xx HK.Danku for whatâs probably Danâs highest damaging combo. It does a little less damage than s.HK xx Super when started on the ground, but it does a boatload of stun, moreso if you start from a heavy aerial. If they block the initial hit, at least you get in for a mixup, unlike the Super. It only has a single one-frame link and should work on every Shoto, regardless of whether their crouching or not, does a sizable amount of damage while racking up a lot of stun.
Example: [cr.FP xx EX Gadouken*] FADC s.MP xx EX Gadouken > s.MP xx HK.Danku - 453 Damage, 610 Stun.
*Should be able to substitute the initial [cr.FP xx EX Gadouken] with any normal and any level of Gadouken. Should work off of all Medium and Heavy aerials or from a Focus Crumple.

Ok, so two things to get out of the way: I have scrub execution, my game consists almost entirely of mind games and reading my opponent. Also, my internet is down, so Iâm using the free wireless here in Orlando which is slooooow as balls so I aint searching shit to see if this is old news or not.
I was farting about in training mode trying to prepare for KRK x FADC x Ultra II got bored with that and start messing around with EX.Gado shenanigans in the corner. So what I discovered was that at max range you can do a normal dash to follow an EX.Gado with a KRK. Now my execution is so bad I canât even reliably perform this so figuring out the ins and outs is beyond me.
Can you EX.Gado x normal dash, KRK x FADC x n.j.mp for instance?
Or even instead of a KRK is there a normal that has quick enough start up and range to use instead? Maybe a c.lk or something? Something to use to initiate some other comboâŚ
Might be old newsâŚ
I can only get in a far.LP xx EX Danku on Ryu, and itâs a tight link.
I can EX.Gadouken > Dash > HP.Koryuken FADC nj.MP on Abel, though. 310 damage.
The usual suspects for this are M.Bison, El Fuerte, Seth and maybe Honda. This seems very hard to work into a match, though.
Edit: Hrm. Scratch that last bit. Bisonâs hitbox is so far forward that Dan ends up being too far away to land anything after max-range Gadouken.
I was using Sagat as the dummy⌠I back away or dash away and throw out EX.Gados when I have the opponent in the corner all the time but the spacing is so tight on this I doubt Iâll ever pull it off.
So it is actually possible to do a cross-up j.MK > Shissou Buraiken, on Seth at least. Counted 9 hits.
Thanks for the tip, Sugami. Tested with every character, so itâs like that:
Works on:
Dan
Gen
El Fuerte
C. Viper
Abel
Balrog
Vega
E.Honda
Rufus
Bison
Sagat
Seth
Ken
Ryu
Blanka
Dhalsim
Fei-Long

Coudnât get it working on:
Sakura

Zangief
Guile
Chun-li
Cammy
Well, my execution suck pretty much, so maybe itâs working with these characters after all.
Here is video showing it with Sagat:
Unless youâre very good at hit-confirming that cross-up I wouldnât recommend it Itâs weird how it seems to have enough hit stun to work but has pretty shitty block stun
Whatâs the deal with cross-up mk x c.hp x hk.Danku? I canât seem to get it to work reliably at all, is it a timing thing or character specific?
To be honest I donât think itâs possible. Remember c.HP is super slow with a whole 11 frames of start-up, thatâs one frame slower than Shissou Buraiken. Which would mean the Ultra link is a 1-framer if possible.
Also think cross-up j.MK is somewhat character specific, stick with s.MP for Dankuu combos outside of punishes that give you ample time.
Just did it on Honda, so i guess itâs character specific.
It works on Sagat too⌠or was I using Ryu for the dummy? Def one of those two jerks.
