<4 krackatoa. that’s good editing.
Good stuff, now I got a better gimmick for projectile spammers.
Is it old news to everyone but me that Dan’s Super has some frames of invincibility? I’ve been doing them at odd times lately as a wild-card tactic, did it to a Ryu on his wake-up. He threw a fire-ball that passed through Dan after the start-up animation for the Super.
Yeah it’s the same for everyone except Seth who’s doesn’t have invincibility on startup but does for the duration it’s active.
It seemed to last an inordinate amount of time. I’m not positive but I think the first and maybe second attack had already started. Regardless, I never used the thing until a few days ago, I’m sure trying to incorporate it into my game will cause me nothing but grief.
Only time I use Hisshou Buraiken is off a FA or when I’m going for chip damage win
Same here usually. But know I’ve just been throwing them in at weird times. In this case Ryu was in the corner and I was at about sweep distance, his fire-ball went through me and he just stood the a brief moment, he tried for some move and the inputs from that were just enough to push him into range of the Super. So victory was mine.
Moonshot j.mk Crossup > Hisshou Buraiken ftw.
Moonshot?
I tried a cross-up j.MK > s.HK xx Hisshou Buraiken once and it pushed them too far back D: Think best chance of landing it is straight off the jump-in but if the jump-in is blocked then you’re fucked
Empty jump-in > Hisshou Buraiken, think it’d beat a throw? Worth testing since there are people who instinctively throw (or try to tech) in those kind of situations
Hmm. I hope so. I’ve been using it in the reverse way, against people that jump in with a kick and then throw while you are blocking the assumed sweep that follows.
Moonshot means “blind last-ditch attempt” or “not likely”
Edit: Moonshot actually comes from the saying “Shoot for the moon!” which means to risk sacrificing everything for a huge payoff in the future.
It does if they go for an early throw, a late throw (or tech attempt I guess) they’ll have time to block it seems. Worth testing in a fight for funsies.
Some fun(ny) info about Hisshou Buraiken, just like a “well timed” Shissou Buraiken clash they cancel each other out after both hitting each other once I also tried to beat it with Legendary Taunt xx Shissou Buraiken and seems like it has better invulnerability than the Ultra since it won
Doing a reversal Hisshou Buraiken at the end of a Hisshou Buraiken catches Dan completely, doesn’t bounce off. Worst case scenario is you’ll do a Kouryuken by accident and still hit him out of it.
Dan’s Super Combo actually has more invincibility frames than his Ultra Combo. It also starts hitting opponents much faster, allowing it to punish some moves that the Ultra Combo can’t (it punishes Zangief’s Banishing Flat even on hit, for example).
Everything punishes Banishing flat on hit. Thats why Giefs always do EXGhand, normal flat is only good if you get a knock down.
That’s not true, a c.HK wouldn’t be able to punish Banishing Flat on hit It leaves Zangief -5 on hit meaning the only things Dan can do (if timed right) are Throw, Super, Kouryuken or Light Attacks
I didn’t really mean everything, but every Gief knows hes going to get punished if he does Ghand and it doesn’t get a knock down. If he doesn’t get punished, he was just lucky that the person slipped.
We all know, Giefs hate to be thrown
I bet Giefs hate being SPD’d by Seth the most
Okay, to rephrase, the Super Combo punishes the EX Banishing Flat on block, whereas the Ultra Combo doesn’t.
I know the normal green hand is really only useful as a distance closer rather than an actual attack, I just couldn’t think of another attack that had a window of vulnerability after block that’s big enough for a Super Combo but not big enough for the Ultra Combo. I guess Bison’s non-light Scissors Kick would work too. You can Super Combo that.
ive seen videos where dan FADC his DP into QCB->mk tatsu and it connects, ive tried this and it doest work. what am i doing wrong?
It’s hk and you can only get the second and third hits.
