going to jump on the Dan band wagon. I dopped him after I started using Rose in super as my secondary. I think I want to go back and use him =]

and UD notes are looking good. Sad about the possible loss of invicibility on U1

I tried dan a couple of times just now.
The AE U2 have the worst hurt box ever… i kept getting traded by fireballs when i do in on reaction (u1 would have gone tru and hit) and get stuffed on wake up ultra when it would have gone tru in Super.

Invulnerability’s been mostly removed to increase lulz-factor. Can’t use it as a GTFO anymore. Favour Ultra I in matchups now, since it’s easy to hit-confirm for 3 meters with cl.MP > cr.MK xx EX Gadouken FADC Ultra I or (cl.MP > cr.MP).

With Oni Akuma and Evil Ryu I wouldn’t be surprised if we got Evil Dan at this point. The only way i would even accept that would be if he had raging demon ultra 1 and if Vega’s Claw or Mask, or Cody’s knife were on the ground he’d trip over it.

Also, doing x-up.j.MK > cr.MP may replace the cl.MP followup, since it’s the faster medium normal and links into light attacks easily.

I don’t like the Dan Nerfs…geez. So three questions.

  1. dan kicks recovery improved?

  2. ultra 2 nerfed in any way other than invincibility frames?

  3. Dan standing medium kick nerfed? it’s hitbox wasn’t that good and it helped his gadoken/standing mk mixup vs zangief and stuff…neccassary y nerf…since both had bad hitboxes esp normal gado

  4. FUCKING STUPID

  • Koryuken (DP?s) invincibility hitbox ends in the air.

  • Dankukyaku (Dan Kicks) - Damage nerfed for MK and HK versions.

Er… s.MK doesn’t seem like it was nerfed, and Dan’s gotten major buffs across the board. <_<

I’m just sad that they had to nurf the MK and HK. But you see, one thing is good though. Is that capcom knows how much us Dan lovers love that Justice Knee.

it was originally thought that s.mk was nerfed. Dan kicks to were good to put opp in corner. so now you’ll be sacrificing damage for positional advantage…good for giving srk in combos a use? idk,pretty dumb…

Krackatoa don’t got a ps3 nor a 360, which still leaves me befuddled till this day. But you can add me on the 360. But the S.mk really didn’t change what-so-ever. I tried it at Chinatown. Don’t see a difference.

A small damage nerf is a fair trade for a universal buff to his normals. This means better footsies and more meter built during his combos. Also: Hit-confirms for days. Hit-confirms off cr.LK.

Y’all needs to take stock of what’s really important.

I do have a 360, but it’s pretty transient and has multiple owners. Ergo, I don’t have a subscription. I realize this practically makes me a proud member of Online Nah, but since I’m settling into a new place soon, I’ll be able to set up shop.

Wait, originally it was reported (unconfirmed) that standing medium kick was nerfed. This was a KEY move. I really want to know if it was nerfed.

It was not nurfed at all, it was expected to be nerfed.

Yeah stand mk seems the same imo. You can link far st lp to far st mk, so I think it’s still a 7f startup move (like cr mk, which also links from far st lp), and it still has more range than cr mk because you can link far st lp to far st mk when you can’t link far st lp to cr mk.

Alright, thanks guys, it means a lot. I was really really worried at nerfs to this move, it means a lot, I’ve alt’d Dan for awhile and now that I’ve dropped out of the competitive scene (half year long decision) I just play Dan and (while still competitive and a good dan I might say (will upload vids!)) still try n win. Sf.mk is a really important poke (Zangief/Thawk Matchup).

are jabs faster? can you link cr.lp x2 st lp x2 st mk?
