ICE, you should seriously reconsider banning the bonus characters; the only characters that should be banned at the moment are Vader and Yoda, due to them being exclusives (for the time being).
that’s analogous to Smashers banning item play, which has proven to NOT break the game, as shown at EVO.
check the SCIV thread right now; that’s the talk at the moment. i know we’re not godly SC players like you and your crew, but it’s ludicrous to ban them, just due to them being not part of SC lore or whatever gay shit you guys think up.
the bonus characters are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not better than the sisters.
prove to me that they’re on the level of brokeness, then i’ll reconsider that thought. if the bonus characters are better than their original counterparts, then so be it. if they’re NOT better than the sisters, then there should be NO REASON to ban them.

I’ll start by posting what I said previously:
Note how my justification doesn’t include anything about “soul calibur lore” or anything like that… These are concrete reasons why custom characters CHANGE THE GAME… The level of broken-ness has (as of yet) not been determined… But what has been determined is that a custom character can be chosen/used to gain a certain advantage. Furthermore, banning custom characters (as I have seen) is generally the SC tournament standard as established by the community.
As far as my level of soul calibur play… I never claim to be anything that I’m not… I’m just a guy who enjoys playing/competing… The difference between where I am compared to any of you is not at all determined until we get on the sticks… You might very well beat me or any1 of the Goonz should u properly prepare yourself (but of course we will be prepared too 
)… In any case, that has nothing to do w/ the discussion at hand.
Back to topic… My main concern are the 2 scenarios I presented in my first response… Amy (who is a beast as is) was designed w/ a shorter range in mind… Giving her longer range (and therefore full screen, fast, safe launchers, and making one of the fastest pokes in the game long range) is a problem to me… The other scenario about making combos whiff is inherent in any custom character.
To be clear… It’s ok to customize standard characters… but to make custom characters from scratch and doing stuff like putting amy’s body w/ astaroth’s weapon style is a problem.

…but in that essence, you’re making the assumption that you know that namco bandai didn’t intend individualized bonus characters, when in fact, they never stated anything of the sort. you guys (as in, the SC community) are just banning things outright, due to a couple of probable factors:
a) they’re not part of SC lore/main cast
b) assuming that they weren’t intended to be separate characters, and not just clones of their originals
c) butthurt if the bonus characters actually rape seigfreid/nightmare/sisters/whatever S tier you guys got at the moment.
this is becoming similar to the “Smash items on/off” debate…sigh.
you guys are banning things before even thoroughly testing…it’s only been out less than a month!

nevermind; it’s a moot point in the end, since i have an insignificant voice in the SC community; i don’t have any credibility, so that doesn’t help…
the SC community will be adamant with their rules just like the Smash community is adamant about playing with no items…it’s not going to help anyone banning things outright until testing for months is done.
eventually if this game is considered for EVO, they will definitely enable players to use the bonus characters; they’re not game-breaking in nature, unless some godlike glitch is found.
oh well.

lmao… Thai, why did you start your points with something I specifically said has nothing to do with it (“not apart of SC lore/Main cast”)…
In regards to my “assumption”… bonus characters and custom characters in this game are functionally equivalent… they are ALL clone movesets… the only difference is how the character model and weapon range are chosen (it is my argument that changes to these 2 things can affect the game… drastically in some cases…)… if bonus characters were meant to have their own moveset they would have it (like in 3).
As far as “raping our S Tier” characters or whatever… lmao that’s pretty funny too… Has nothing to do with that either… It’s nice to know you respect Siegfried tho…
I told you the 2 scenarios that concerned me personally… and if you don’t see it then we’ll just agree to disagree… The point is… neither one of our games’ will be hurt by customs/bonus chars not being included… If they are in fact such “small nuances” why are you so passionate about them being included?..
