Most characters are completely invulnerable the second they start throwing a character. There are a few exceptions, but it would have passed through him unless the fireball caught him during the initial throw start up.
So can Ken parry the first hit of SA2 and then throw before the second hit comes out? I mean, if Justin had done FB xx SA2 instead, would Daigo have been able to live through it or would he have died for free? I’m just trying to figure out exactly how “lucky” Daigo got.
Stupid Americans, since when have you ever seen me get lucky? Justin is so predictable. The Last time I got lucky, Earth was formed. The Last Time I loss, countries were conquered. The Last time I was argued about, Shoryuken.com was formed.
You’re all witnesses.
If you guys like videos of BEASTS then DL my vids. Just google search Mandingo and cop my DVD’s Holla.
How come Capcom didn’t give this guy a job being a senior tester/designer and what not?
He could of worked on the ultimate SF4 if given the chance. Come on Capcom USA, please have enough money for Daigo to work on the next Street Fighter game. You know you have the cash
I always wondered things like this, how come they dont get these big tourny guys to beta test sequels to the games they play? unless they do, and we just dont hear about it.:wonder:
If heard in passing that Capcom of Japan tried this with CvS2 and that in return the assigned beta-testers found Roll Cancels but decided not to inform anyone so they could put it into use for future tournaments.
Again please keep in mind this is only something I’ve heard a handful of times with no real evidence backing it up. As to if this is true or not is uncertain.
No idea if that’s true, but it seems they did at least get players to help them with testing. BAS, Knit, Nuki etc. are thanked in the credits.
As an A-Guy user, I’d love to see some vids.
WTF is this? If Justin’s move did one or two more pixels. Get real. There’s no randomness in this situation. Mks do not take extra pixels. Its like hoping that your team will make a 5 point shoot ath the last second in basketball. Its impossible, crazy dude. And Daigo was very likely to win the next rounds even if your crazy random world theory applied to 3rd Strike anyway.
Coulda shoulda woulda don’t hold any weight outside your mind.
Ya, you cant get lucky in that situation… that was the only combo damaging enough to kill Chun at that moment, which means he had to air parry the last hit of the super, which means he was baiting out the super… regardless I dont think too many ppl can even parry the whole super, with all that noise and with all that pressure.
You’d be surprised, some people can have total focus even in a burning building.
hey why not having such scenarios and environment for top players to play in EVO ? it gives you the feeling you are in a fantasy world of fighting game …LOL!!
How come I hear all this talk about Daigo having a phobia of big crowds. I doubt he’d be able to make that clutch parry/combo in the semi finals of Evo with a packed room screaming and some rooting against him, if that was true.
that’s why MKA created parry because of daigo , PARTALITIY!
Not to mention the fact that Daigo didnt win the tournament of that parry. Justin still had a chance to beat him but couldnt. That is the one fact people seem to miss.
maj: I’ve only seen people counter in between the 1st and 2nd set, but i don’t know for sure, i think that fb xx super can be jumped over tho with that kinda distance and ken being in neutral.
I disagree with the super being a bad move, i think the mistake was that it wasn’t actually random, by whiffing those moves to hide the super motion there was a reference point to try to get the first parry, so it wasn’t random.
IMO a better move would have been to just do like qcfx6 into super, it’s a lot riskier because if you miss the parry then try to parry the real one again youll probably dash. This is all assuming that he had to parry before seeing the flash, which i believe was the case.
Luck is when preparation meets oppourtunity, so i’m not sure what’s gained by talking about what’s lucky or unlucky here.
…as savonne steals the thread, looool.
Before Daigo retires, I want to see him win this year’s EVO with Ryu in 3S. Then he can retire.
I don’t think you can throw her after the first hit. Hell, Ryu ex-shoryu gets beat, and Kikosho trades. I think only really invincible type stuff will get her inbetween the kicks.
