I think HDR is a great game, the problem is the old ST guard doesn’t want to adapt and play it.

valle, graham wolfe and afro legends used to be regulars on ggpo but since HDR dropped, those guys dont really play there anymore. Seen wolfe maybe twice online and afro legends once since HDR got released.

I don’t know what those guys think about HDR but I can tell you they’re not on ggpo under their old names playing ST.

I didn’t think Daigo would be on board with HD Remix but whatever. It’s a good game, good players play it, not too many reasons other than preference not to play it.

The purpose of the thread wasn’t to be like “Oh man Daigo plays and likes HDR, I should too”.
Though I can see where people may have interpreted in that way.

Just wanted HDR fans/players to know there could be possible foreign(Japan) competition in the near future.
A longshot, but still.

And lets be honest, if the Japanese did get on board with HDR it would change alot of minds.

I have been thinking this(an arcade version of hdr) for awhile. I want to eventually open a arcade here in phoenix and i think it would be cool to have hdr running on a viewlix. its also kind of weird to think that daigo never really played hdr before, but i guess that playing on console isn’t that popular over there.

HDR never got a release in Japan so it is not weird for any Japanese to not have played it.

Its not just that, afaik the game has no official release in Japan, you need a US/European online account to get it. I could be wrong though.
