no u didn’t say change the timing of shoshosho u just said mix it up with OTHER moves
Hehehe, sorry. We’re so technical that sometimes i dont even notice it. Sorry about that. But anyway, we got the point.
technical…?
Yeah, i just rapidly answer one of the ways that you stop the timing of the jd but of course there’s other ways like changing the time of the shosho. So by technical i meant precise when creating solutions for match problems >D

(Casual on a Sunday, I picked N - Joe for jokes otherwise would of been N - Iori)
Match 1
N-Iori vs C-Ryu
Started kinda wonky in the beginning…(missed pre-emptive RC rekka w/jab).You were off to a weird start in dominating offensively but you pressed the advantage for a while…I think if anything learn Iori’s ranges with RC rekka, his normals. You roll alot…Even though it’s Iori–you should be rolling for setups where you’ve already established offensive advantage (ie: after a bnb to plan a mixup on wake up) and try your hardest not to press crouching roundhouse…its easily can be rolled through and punished. Learning really good punishing combos and being consistent with them in punishable situations would’ve killed that Ryu alot faster. At mid point in that match you could’ve pressed the advantage and won with at least 80% bar left to go to Cammy.
Learn Iori’s good normals, footsies and, guard bar strings, etc…
A good starting point would be to reference either Togawa or Buk’s Iori…probably Buk’s moreso.
N-Iori vs C-Cammy
Well timed fbs with Iori can help with a good ground game against Cammy…and his crouch strong also.
N-Ken vs Cammy
Establish good ground game based around crouching strong to beat out Cammy’s Cannon Drill. Low Forward, Standing Short, zoning fbs, Stand Roundhouse, Toward + Roundhouse and Rc funk kick to establish spacing/zoning. Random rolling on plays to Cammy being able to Roundhouse the shit out of you. Learn to punish…please. That missed opt for combo into super when Cammy missed a super hurt to watch. Again, you roll too much.
Learn Ken’s good normals, footsies and, guard bar strings, etc…
N-Sagat vs C-Ken
Learn Sagat…look up matches of good Sagats (Togawa,Choi,Wong,Nakanishi) just to get some good guidelines as to how to move with Sagat and what works and what doesn’t because (and I’m not saying this to be mean) right now you don’t have a clue as to how to play Sagat.
Good normals with Sagat-
Standing Short
Standing/Crouching Fierce (good for punishing whiffs…and just good overall)
Stand Forward (good punisher normal into super)
Standing Jab (good in offense pressure and bnb combos into super)
Crouch Short (good in offense pressure and bnb combos into super)
Combos
Crouch Short Stand Jab into Jab/Fierce Tiger Uppercut
Crouch Short, Stand Jab into Short Tiger Crush ( you can add an extra jab on larger Weight Class Characters and for slightly more stun)
Standing Jab x3 into Low Forward into Low Tiger Cannon/Tiger Raid
Cross up Jump Short leads to any of the combos above… you can also do
Cross up short Stand Jab, link close fierce into Jab Tiger Uppercut (but the positioning isn’t as beneficial as combos above)
At least thats a small start…
Overall, familiarizing yourself more with how to control your characters is the most important thing to start with.Learning their bnb’s consistently, understanding their normals, ranges, setups and getting a better understanding of the matchups come with practice. By no means am I perfect at CVS2, I’m just pointing out the things that I see in the vid. CVS2 is a good game, don’t give up at it and just keep practicing and ask questions, alot people here are willing to help.
Alot of people gripe about training mode but it gives you an opportunity to practice setups that you can potentially do to your opponent, even with that you still need to play human opponents to understand when to employ those strats you’ve practiced.
Again, I’m not implying I know everything–thats what I’m in this thread too lol. Just trying to help out…
Anyone know who the C Iori Sagat Hibiki player is?
Thanks for the feedback
I did roll more a lot more in that match which I shouldnt of. I guess I need work on a proper gameplan for all my characters, which I feel I dont really do well.
I think I did a little better in the second match. Still not as good as I want to be making some mistakes here and there.
If I get more matches recorded I’ll post them up.
