I think I’ve seen Albert play K…
Yeah, I don’t worry when he plays K, but I worry a lot when he plays P.

i’ll state this outright: i have NO animosity/hate towards steve h. sure, i got really animated during the money match at fr and our match at the last ecc. i know i’m 0-2 in money matches with him but that’s fine with me. we both have different playing styles and he’s technically the best p-groove in tournament with his 2nd place at fr. from the small talks that i have with him, he’s mad chill. that being said…
rugal b: yeah, my style does suit k-groove. the thing is…i can’t just defend for shit. lol. i’ve been with p-groove so long that my stubbornness won’t let me use a different groove and force me to find strategies to beat a/k/c/s/n. i just need to work on execution and push ups…always more push ups lol
leezy: you are my kryptonite. i always get 5th place at norcal tournys because of you. <3 see you at worlds sir.
after playing against nestor/arturo, i’ve thought of some new shit that i hope to bust out at worlds/west. gotta practice with warren/combo first…
i still play, but really just against the cpu these days. everyone at the local arcade quit. when can we set something up? btw i dont have an arcade stick.
Dummy Rocks! No “Roll Super” complain! :arazz:
Oh whoa I think I’ve played that 357Kyo guy before at that nickel arcade on Blackstone…yeah he’s pretty good but it probably doesn’t matter what I say. One of the highlights for me was when the guy said “we WILL SEE the final match!” I dunno I loved that part
Good matches! Thanks for uploading. 200 bucks…
what?whats that supposed to mean?
Thanks for the tips. Its been a while since I’ve fished for parries. They used to be a heavy part of my game but somewhere along the line I stopped and just try to anticipate. I’ll try to reincorporate it.
As for the team, Hibiki is more or less gone. I keep flubbing her super combo, and the one time I did land it in a tournament the opponent got dizzied when the super came out. I really don’t think Chun is going to dropped from my team since I’ve grown so comfortable using her. I am debating whether she deserves the ratio 2.
When I played Ohnuki, the SBK trap was working really well against my Kyo. I might try to add that in. Maybe a threat of low parry afterwards … need to test.
I like playing fun characters. I want to drop Hibiki and replace her with either
Vice
Mai
Maki
My Vice is decent but really streaky. Battery spot is her only option.
Mai is selective.
Maki is solid, but I can’t get her 720 set ups consistantly. Her kick super seems so much better.
End rant. I’ll throw in an old video of when I anchored Kyo.
What the hell? At about 1.32 Hibiki did a bnb finishing off with qcf + p, but bison was about to hit her while she was recovering from that special. Good matches though.
EDIT: just checked out the frame data.
he did her bnb too fast so bison can punish it, do it slow enough and he can’t punish you, plus if he trys you can just block it or parry and punish if you have bar.
I think 357kyo is good, we’ve played some casuals before at cal poly. Good job, winning the 200$. Keep up the skills.
Thatd be siba

Pleas, comment. More videos soon.
1st match, DPs on jump in’s in their dictionary?
2nd match, nice try on the cross up super wakeup
4th match, hit confirm for that blankaball super is mandatory
hit confirm supers in general is needed from both players, that cammy is about the only one who does a consistant amount of hitconfirm supers. and the supers for AAs are good too.
Why is this old ass match so entertaining to watch?

Because it is a classic example of what separates Daigo from other players - it’s not that he dominates an entire match, but that he pulls out wins when it looks like it was impossible. Check the Evolution DVD trailer for another prime example in ST, the famous match vs. Justin in 3S… no matter what the game, Daigo shows that he can win. The players here call it “Umehara Magic”
I dont. I call it NOT throwing out a super tiger shot on the opponent’s wakeup to force him try something. Also it seems like the allure of the match is watching an S-groove player taking a top player like Umehara to the limit like that.
Theory fighter’s fun isn’t it? Just like I could say that when Sagat half-dodged the sonic boom at the end and got hit, he could have just dodged-into-dodge because he saw the sonic boom coming. After that, do the knockdown attack or linking attack to super for the win.
By “here”, I meant JAPAN. No one on SRK even calls the guy “Umehara”
2003? I wanna see them play now. Honestly, Brandon looked way better in that video than I’m used to seeing him play…and the Japanese have the tendency to be way less aggressive than Americans, so Daigo could’ve done a lot more if he took more risks, but that’s our American logic…they’re obviously doing something right.
