K-cammy is best unless P-cammy starts with bar, then it’s about even, imo.
i’d put C-cammy as third best, you’ll use that lvl 2 more often than you think. plus i’d compare her normal’s potential with an exponential curve. it’s already good enough, adding a dodge fierce isn’t gonna further her chances of dominating ground that much, and you sacrifice having stored lvl 2 for that garbage bar.
i’m not gonna go into what i think about the rank of her bottom 3 grooves
I will say that in a Mirror Match, K-Cammy has a hard time against S-Cammy, at least in my experience. That doesn’t mean that S-Cammy is better though.
my main teams are A-kyo/blanka/bison, and of course a-blanka/sak/bison when i wanto scrub out a win
i also tend to sub rock, eagle, hibiki, vega or honda for kyo depending on how i feel and the match-up. I am also working on rolento a little bit.
against p (and sometimes k) i sometimes use a-iori/kyo/sak or bison depending on who their last char is (if i think r2 sak is safe against them with the damage she takes).
finally, whoever said A-kyo is not good is just…well…wrong
Edit: A-rock is tight too, just have to use him differently than you would in k
I’m not a newbie to CvS2, but I’m not an advanced player yet; I’m at that middle-of-the-road point. Anyways, I haven’t been playing regularly in over a year, and I’m trying to get back into it. Last time I played, my team was C-Groove Cammy/Blanka/2-Sagat. I wanna keep my 2-Sagat, but I’m up for changing one or both of the first two characters. Is this still a good team? Any suggestions?
I’m curious as to how well your team’s been holding up against A-Blanka/Sak/Bison or whatever variations people’ve been using of that team.
Perhaps particularly Mai vs Blanka or your R3 Rugal vs R1 Sak. Bison really just plays the same vs anyone so long as he’s got the lead from the other two.
With Mai vs. A-Blanka, it depends on where Blanka is at in relation to you. If we’re at opposite ends of the screen he’s looking to RC ball through my fan. At that point I do empty qcf’s and jiggle a bit. Also I will back jump to RH the ball out of it’s RC frames. Otherwise I JD and run sweep.
Once I see him walk forward I have to choose between immediate fan or wait and st.FP. It’s all about reading him for jump over my fan. If I wait, and he does anything besides jump foward, I back jump to reset or low jump straight up. If he slides, I’ll hopefully JD and counter.
Aside from waiting for Blanka’s move to react, I can also look to beat him in the air with jumpjab.
And as far as jab ball in RC elec or RChopRCelec, those tactics are super buff, so the key there is just stay out of the ranges where Blanka can do those tricks. Keep jumping back, keep reseting, run up to actually block or jd the jab/strong balls. Put blanka in a position so that he’s playing your game and not his.
A-kyo is a little tough because it can be hard to get in on people without small jump. But i use him on my “main” team as my 1st char, especially when the other persons 1st char has 60 stun and he works very well for me, i recommend him,m you ust have to be creative about getting in sometimes and be willing to trade some hits to gain position.
I’ll have to learn Kyo… I can do some CCs and b&bs but not the crazy ones. He’s fun though.
But for my first question, who do you think would make a better battery, Akuma or Vice? I don’t know how to build meter well with Akuma besides throwing FBs. meh
if ur gonna use a groove, and ur still in the “trying characters out” phase, seriously try to learn a blanka. its really really worth it. not saying u have to play all top tier, play who youre best with, but at least give blanka a try.
Trying out crazy characters like Vice will help you not only because she has potential to mix things up to the top-tier junkies, but because she will bring some life to your game. People get burnt out on A-are, K-cbs, etc, but using weird characters kinda renews your sense of fun within the game…and we are all playing for fun, right?
But one thing is for sure, stick with Raphael as your avatar as he is the best ninja turtle hands down. Oh yeah Akuma is probably a better battery than Vice cuz Akuma gets rewarded for his tourette’s, while Vice kinda just dies…nah I’m kidding I’ve seen some good Vice players for reals, this one vietnamese dude with n-groove (hehe), but yeah, Akuma is a better battery in A-groove.
