^ that’s not a bad team at all. personally, though, i’d rather have kyo in p or k groove.
your order is fine. kyo is a decently strong character without meter, and ken is fine in most grooves. about switching to vega, you could, and it wouldn’t be that much of a problem.
I don’t think that’s a valid arguement as plenty of the top tier / upper mid /solid mid tier characters have “no life,” and plenty of top players know excellent mixups with the like and can own off a single knockdown.
Having no life IMO only factors in if you get caught in high damaging combos such as PTF or shoshosho or Rugals rediculously easy 8-13k combos. The difference with all of the above is that PTF has more setups, Sakura really doesn’t care if you block, and Rugal’s are hard to set up period.
I’m by no means a “top player,” but I’ve never feared anyone’s character when I play Nako.
I like N-Rock (RC’s, stored meter, pop tricks to raging storm or shine knuckle own), but K helps him too much.
JD allows him to “recover” a frame earlier than normal from his moves and he needs that vs the top tiers. That and when he gets raged it always seems to benefit him more glowing “red” than it does “yellow,” which is stupid anyway but true.
At least N-Rock still has low jump and the Command throw setups off that and you can always break stock after the throw while they’re still in the air.
Haoh is ok, but your milage with him will vary depending on your comp.
Like how Cammy is good, Blanka / Sagat are better.
Just so simple a character to use that unless you can blast through all the bs to get in close you’re golden, because even these days once she’s in she’ll likely crush you.
Haoh, well, he’s “simpler,” and he doesn’t have that “crush you” like Cammy does.
He’s like a watered down Vega and he’s much better off in A-Groove.
How is he going to really benefit from N?
K is much better for him than N, A is much better for him than K, IMO.

I’m really new to CVS 2 so I kind of need help all around. I came up with a team that I liked and I was wondering what more experience players thought. I use N Nakoruru, Hibiki, and R2 Rock. I haven’t decided who I want to go first between the two girls. Does it make a difference? If it does, what would I have to consider? I generally don’t use super with either Nakoruru or Hibiki, I just use meter to power up. I’m trying to learn how to use super with Rock, and he seems like a pretty solid character to anchor the team. I’d appreciate it if anyone could let me know what else to consider.
Yeah I was thinking about that. After practicing for a bit today, I’ve realized how much I suck with rock. I might even drop him for Iori. And yeah, I’ve got Hibiki’s BnB down, and hit confirm (1 of them anyway) into super, so I should be okay R2ing her.
edit: I was reading about Iori on Bucktooth’s guide and he mentioned that Iori is a good lead off character. How is he in the second spot? I figure I can put him there because I can hit confirm into super if I want to (something I couldn’t do with Rock).
As of now my team is N-Groove Nako, Iori, R2 Hibiki.
Even though Iori can do good damage without meter, he can make good use of the meter if he is in the user spot. Power up helps his midrange game (he can guard crush faster) which in turn helps him get in and play his upclose mix-up game.
Plus, he can get back the meter he ends up using. IMO with Hibiki as anchor, you HAVE to have two stocks by the time you bring her in. c.lk into Deadly Rave into quick dizzy is too good.
