I played K C/B/S this past Saturday.
And it was really fun, I had alot more energy with this time for some reason, and it showed.

Anyways, A-Mai, Vice, Eagle is the truth. It seems I get more wins using mid-tier characters, maybe it’s just because no one knows how to fight them locally and just get fucked over with them. I need a replacement for Vice at times, depending on the stick I can’t TK her lightning legs. I was thinking of A-Kyo.
S-Eagle is actually pretty annoying, S-Vega, Eagle, Sagat is a cool S-team imo.

lately i’ve been feeling like i’m trying to play waaay to many characters in K’ problem is they’re fun my question is how many characters should one focus on …my current line up is Rock Kyo Sagat Ryu Ken Chunli Vega(claw) Hibiki Rolento some of these i play because they’re good in K’ most of em i like but are the shotos really worth the trouble in k?..Ryu hits like an angry little karate man and ken is fun to play
IMO stick between learning 5-6 characters tops for starters then when you feel you’ve learned all you can for those characters pick up some more if you like.

Does Nakoruru do any good against top tiers? I’ve been switching characters in my K team like every week now and I need a team that can stand up to top tiers.
Yes.
she counters vega, so thats a start.
She doesn’t REALLY counter Vega, but if the Vega starts jumping around and what not she’s not completely out of it.
I mean I have a much easier time with Athena vs Cammy or Mai vs Sakura (waaaaaay easier with this match up), but not so with Nak vs Vega.
OK, FINALLY I think I found my final K-Groove team… Kyo, Nako, and Geese. Any suggestions on what order/ratio this team would be best in? Thanks

Kyo at ratio 2, in my opinion. Geese has some horrible top-tier matchups, namely Vega, Cammy and Bison. Where every point of damage counts, Geese is surprisingly lacking in dealing quick damage even if he has one of the biggest damage:hit ratios in the game, even without rage. In the long run, Kyo can do so much more off of a knockdown and comboing into rekkas adds up.
In my case, Geese is at ratio 2 because I feel that I play him better than Kyo. Although yeah, Kyo has more favorable matchups in the end. So to answer your question, I’d say the order for your team would be: Nak/Geese/Kyo(r2).
nako is such a hard character to play …cuz she really has no life…i think you should play geese as r2…contrary to what mikone said…geese can deal damage pretty quickly as an r2 but he does have bad matchups…btw cammy is not a bad matchup for geese or bison …but youre gonna have to set up everything off of his jab…you get the jab…you get another you get the sweep and then the fun begins…by mixing up your cross up with run up cl.lk’s run up grab on wake up(by whiffing st. lp)…so many possibilities…that and u have reppuken which can be an extremely useful tool…not to mention if you combo deadly rave…canceled into cl.lk, cr.hp, jaiken(lk)…thats more than 2/3rds bar to any character in the game…plus the fact if it is a girl all ur gonna need is maybe a jab combo for her to get dizzy…if she didn’t dizzy already…if thats the case j.rh, close fierce. jaiken-lk…and you have a dead bitch on ur hands…
Kyo is good but he’s got one mo…get in and stay in…and he’s got bad match ups which are pretty much the same as geese(all top tiers)…add in the fact that he has less power than geese…less life than geese…but he’s good
nako is the weak link on this team…if ur just playing casually thats fine but its really hard for her to be imposing…i don’t think i have ever feared anyone’s nako…not gonna tell u to replace her cuz thats such a dickhead thing to do you like who you like but its an uphill battle
just alternate your r2. when you play mid tier characters, get used to switching up your order. besides, in k you don’t have to worry about meter or anything anyways so just play the match ups that are most comfortable for you.
is guile vs yama good match-up or does guile lose yama destroys booms overall he just annoying
So I’m new to A-Groove and right now my team is Kyo, Ken, Blanka R2, in that order. Basically putting the character I’m weakest with first and best with last. I eventually plan to replace Kyo and Ken with Sakura and Bison when I get the shoshosho and paint thing down but for now since Kyo and Ken CCs are easy as pie I use them.
Is my current order okay? Anyone else that would easily sub in for Kyo since I’m pretty awful with him? I was thinking maybe Vega.
