I try to keep Yama a constant in my C groove teams, although it doesn’t always happen. I think he’s great and K groove and all, but he’s just better with RC, lvl2s, roll, and all that goodness that C gives him. Low jump Yama has some nasty setups and can be a bit scarier with meter, but i like hibiki in K better. She’s just too goddamn annoying when you play her right.

Alright, I need some help pairing up my characters with the top tiers, since my arcade is full of people using them:rolleyes:
One guy in particular uses K-Groove Cammy, Blanka, Sagat(R2).
With my team in sig, I usually go Maki > Rolento > Kyo. I do good against Cammy if I don’t get stuck in the corner and get barraged with Cammy limbs. Maki is good with staying out of the corner but Blanka is where things usually go downhill… He turtles me to death and I find myself lucky just to get trades with him. My Kyo is better than his Sagat but by the time Blanka goes down he’s low on health.
Any other good/bad match-ups with my characters I should know about is very much appreciated :tup:
K-Rolento v. K-Blanka shouldn’t be too bad of a match-up… from the way things sound, you’re playing right into his turtle game by trying to rush him down. Expect to eat lots of lj.hps then. Your best tools will probably be j.lp/sj.lp/kkk-lp for air-to-air, lj.mp for pressure, and s.mp for AA. Don’t rush him if you can’t. Play a zoning game and when you get in range, walk-up jabs are your best friend. Even with JD, Blanka won’t have anything to stuff them with (He can jungle hop backwards, however, so watch out for that and act accordingly). c.hp is good too, AFAIK it stuffs Blanka’s far c.hp.

I’ve been messing around with C Cammy, mainly with the team C Guile Cammy Blanka 2. Do you guys like Cammy as user and Blanka as anchor in this team, or do you guys think C Guile Blanka Cammy R2 would be better?
Not just because i hate the blanka thing, but i think cammy is better user than blanka. As i said before in this topic, with blanka you can just guard crush then super, or counter super when the opponent make the mistake to jump.
Cammy is good anchor too so i would switch her to anchor for matchup blanka really cannot handle (if there are any?^^). But she has less life, and I personnaly like having a character with lot of life at the end. (who said sagat??? ^^)
Blanka is also good battery, but with your team i would recommand letting guile as battery…
Guile isn’t good anchor in my opinion.
So yes you made the right choice^^

do anyone else think its a good idea to put her last? shes a pretty solid character overall and doesnt need meter but much scarier with it (even more against P/K groove).
the only problem is that she can’t take damage well and doesnt dish out as much damage as the top tiers per hit. her defense is also easier to break thru than bison, blanka, vega, hibiki and cammy.
I’ll be damned if she doesn’t feel like a mini Sagat then, that fucking c.FP works wonders.

She’s solid, but you have to be just damn good with her to anchor her. She can handle the common anchors, but it’s an uphill battle for her.
