I have to say this is my favorite fighting game, at the moment.
Anyways, my current team is
N - Akuma, Kyo, and Iori
I guess I do alright with this team. But it gets me thinking if I should change Akuma with a different character. Next to Chun-li, Akuma is a favorite of mine. Any advice?
^^ If you like Chun-li, you could always try Iori/Chun/Kyo or Kyo/Chun/Iori. Otherwise Blanka, Honda, Mai, Yamazaki, Vega/Claw, Cammy, and Hibiki all make good N groove batteries.
Alright, need some input on my team…if you guys can. Note that I always use C-Groove…don’t ask…
Here are the different teams that I use (note that Mai is either the first or last person in all teams, since she’s my best, and can usually take down 2 fighters or an entire team herself if going first):
Any suggestions? Note that I’d like to keep Mai on my team at all times (and yes…I still use C-Groove…but I know how to use other Grooves…I just despise P Groove…)
Dont play Dan. You have teams that are made up of all batteries and cant deal damage really with meter as good as an standard anchor/user would do. Use a user like ken, chun, rugal, yama ( can be anything ), sagat (can be anything).
Thing is though, Dan’s one of my best as well (along with Rugal, Terry, Ryo, Yuri, Akuma, and several others). I do use Rugal from time to time though…
And the only problem is…though I do know that I should go with the standard battery/anchor/user (I think that’s the order), I usually win with these teams (and usually, it’s by Mai herself). Dan sometimes can even go through a person and get the next one down by half…IF he doesn’t end up getting screwed over by like…Chun-Li (a friend of mine that I play regularly uses a team of usually (always C-Groove as well) Ken/Chun-Li/Morrigan or something along that line, and another one of my friends (who is still learning, but is decent. Also uses C-Groove, but sometimes goes with K-Groove. Props to him on that one) usually uses a team of Ken/Terry (or Iori)/Rock.
But yeah…if you need it, I can list who all I know how to use the best, and the ones that I know how to use pretty well, if that’d help any…
Well, I’m not the one who uses C-Morrigan either. A friend of mine (who’s about as good as myself really) uses her, and does pretty decent with her (can easily beat Ryu, and Mai sometimes has a tough time beating her from time to time).
Ah. I got it now. Truthfully…if I could, I would, but the problem is, I have no way of getting any videos to Youtube…and no idea how to do it either. So…that might be out of the question for right now…
To be honest, C-Mai isn’t all that bad as people claim she is. You can be offensive or defensively at the blink of an eye in that Groove with her (sure, you could say the same about her in any Groove, but I think it applies more in this one). I know in K-Groove, she’s more offensive than anything else, but I feel that she can be quite offensive in this Groove via Rolls (her Dash isn’t the best thing I’ve seen…not bad, but not that great).
Well, can’t really say anything unless I could show it to ya, but…might not happen from me anytime soon. Sorry bud…otherwise I would.
Chun had always done well enough to be considered my anchor. But ocassionally I’d get too poke happy, and the opponent would do a well timed jump when I throw out a far st fierce and kill me.
With that in mind I went with Kyo. I think he can deal with most match ups well enough to be an anchor. If Chun burns the super, Kyo can do okay without it as well.
Mai’s job is very simple. Build meter for Chun and frustrate the opponent with runaway/zoning.
