K-CBS would be best.
C-CBS would be my second choice (in which case you might want to try swapping Cammy for Vega)
N-CBS is decent but I like K or C better for that team.
would cammy be a good choice for the 3rd slot in a n-groove team? im thinking iori, chun cammy in n-groove
Chun should be the anchor, Iori and Cammy switch up depending on match ups.
Ok, I’ve never really played CVS2, not REALLY, I have played MVC2 for years, 3s for a while, and other games.
Now just getting into it, I tried to think of some good teams to go with after talking to someone who did play it.
How about C-Ken/Blanka/Sagat? It uses a gauge I’m slightly familier with, and chars that aren’t alien to me.
The reason I’m picking it up so late, I thought that if it wasen’t A-Sak/Blanka/Bison that it was pointless. Then I watched some Buktooth vids and other vids and know thats just not the case (even if that team is amazingly good)
thanks for helping a newb out.
Parry, that’s probably one of the Best C teams out there. Good first choice.
Ken Roll Cancel Funky Kick (qcf lk) is your friend, his BnB into funky kick, his lvl 2 cancel (shoryureppa, at the 2nd dp, cancel it right when he’s about to go up with a command roll then fierce dp)
Blanka rc elec and cr. fierce is good, rc blanka ball thru fb’s.
Sagat cr. fierce bnb is something like st. jabx2 dp? cr. fierce xx into low tiger cannon is good. Various lvl 2 cancels that are good.
slight edit.
Like Mizuki said, this is a great team. My only comment is that C-Blanka is a great battery (1st position), and only a good user (2nd position) if you can hit confirm his supers. cr.lk, s.lp xx super or cr.lk, cr.mk xx super (I think). Just something to keep in mind when choosing team order, unless you want your anchor to show up with a full meter, which is how my new N-groove team works.
put blanka first. he doesnt need the meter. ken does
Blanka can guard crush so well that you will have zillions time to super^^
After a sweep, you can follow with a ball and (rc) electricity. Does great damage even blocked… Watch for super, ACounter, and rollcancel of course.
^^ yeah, I hadn’t really thought about the guard crush aspect until today. I’m just used to seeing A-Blanka and K-Blanka, do it.
I’m trying to form a team. I’ve been using C Guile, Ryu, Sagat 2, but I’ve come to the conclusion that I have no idea how to play sagat. I’ve been messing around with some SNK guys like Terry, Joe, Iori, ect.
Anyways, I definitely want Guile in my new team. Should I strictly limit this to C groove then, or can I use N to take full advantage of Iori?
^^ Well, C is Guile’s best groove because of his level 2 super cancel, roll, air block, and alpha counter. He is best as a Battery, though he is okay for User or Anchor.
Outside of C, Guile is probably best as either Battery or Anchor, which are the 2 positions that Iori is best in. SO if you go N, you may want to go Iori/Ryu/Guile or Guile/Ryu/Iori.
Check out the tier list on the faq for more characters you can use:

Having tried N-Guile for a short time i haven’t seen any REAL benefit compared to C. Plus you don’t have airguard that made airthrow attempt easier.
Run is useful for other characters but not for guile in my opinion.
Because guile has several moves that make him move while attacking/charging. So you can move him exactly where you want, keep pressure, and still stay safe just with several safe poke &sb patterns. Just learn range, speed and priority of your normals.
Guile is MR SAFE
Guile running after SBoom is the same as dashing/Rolling after a SB in C.
So it’s up to you^^
With C- Sagat, just keep things simple^^ Watch character thread and vids to get an idea^^
^^Yeah, s.lp, s.lk, and cr.lk are Sagat’s best friends. Working those in as much as possible has made my Sagat much better than when I first picked him up.
C gives you the advantage of having stored meter. In N you might feel forced to play offensivley due to the fact that you have time limitations to use lvl 3 supers.
C-Iori is pretty decent. He doesn’t have run or low jumps but he has easy lvl 2 cancels and easy ways to combo into it. N-Iori and A-Iori are better, though, IMO.
I definitely would recommend learning Sagat. He’s a very solid character and can cause a lot of damage without meter and even more damage with meter.
Have you tried using Ken instead of Ryu? Ken is very good in either C or N.
Add s.HP, c.HP & j.HK to that list. And remember that there’s a whole bunch of characters that can crouch s.LP & s.HP.
N groove haohmaru R2 and ken, and i dont have a set third
R2 haohmaru? i don’t know if that’s a good idea unless you’re good at zoning and poking. ken is a good character in a lot of grooves. for your third, i’d say chun-li or sagat.
N or C?
Sagat/Blank/Yamazaki (2)
- I need someone to fill that blank spot
Blanka, Chun, Ken, Ryu, or N-Hibiki
As for N or C, Yama does well with run, but having to pop a stock to get an air super with invincibility is annoying.
C, put Chun Li in the middle spot.
I use Guile/Yama/Sagat. Team Ugly!
If you got Yama in the back, I say go Sagat/Vega/Yama. That way he’s sure to have meter going in. You’ll need it versus Sagats and Blankas.
