what are ryu and haohmaru’s best grooves? do they have a good groove in common?
Hoahmaru is best in A, Ryu best in N though I think he’s better in C.
Ryu can be interchangeable in N/C.

C-ken,guile,sagt(2)
For N, especially the anchor, I prefer characters with good level 1 supers. You never know when 1 super can be linked into or used for chip.
Chun-Li and Cammy are pretty good for that. So is Ken, though not as much as the other 2.
Hibiki and Iori are also good, because you can link into their level 3’s.
Blanka’s also good, for the extra damage you get in Max Mode. Max Mode electricity is fun.
Other than that pick a strong K or C groove character and try them out.

Yamazaki is hella good in N. Blanka is decent too. Chun is probably your best bet

P-Ryu, garbage, P-Haoh? That’s almost like saying Candlejack, if you say it your abdu

VDO played a VERY GOOD P Haohmaru, some time ago (as i saw in some vids) he was VERY GOOD with him, playing the parry to guard crush game and after that, FLAME OF THE RAPE EMPEROR 
Ryu is a VERY solid character in EVERY (maybe not A) groove in the game, and P groove lets him bypass some bullshit that gives gim trouble (blanka balls, sagat fierces, etc), making him a VERY GOOD opener character. He has the MOST easy /braindead and effective antiair in all the game (tied with rock, IMO), st.HK, a very good Guard crush game, and very good pokes. Try him, you may like it.
yeah, i saw those videos of VDO playing p-haohmaru, and i also read somewhere that p-groove is like the best way to play haohmaru (or something like that). i just wanted confirmation. sounds like a good thing to try out. thanks dude.
I just say that because if it isn’t Cammy, Kyo, imo p-groove sucks lol.
Is N Groove Sagat,Blanka,and Cammy a good team?
CBS is a good team for every groove except A.
For N-groove you probably want Blanka up-front, unless you are really good at getting those hit confirms into supers. Sagat and Cammy are pretty much interchangable for User and Anchor.
even for A groove its decent
um, yeah actually I guess it isn’t awful for A. Sagat/Cammy/Blanka or Cammy/Sagat/Blanka.

CBS is a good beginning team, but I don’t recommend N-groove as a beginner. I love N-groove, but it is one of the more difficult grooves to learn. I recommend C or K to start with if you are new to CVS2.
I don’t think N is that hard to learn, though it’s not as simple as K. I don’t think you get very much from putting CBS in N over K. Off the top of my head: blanka gets RC elec and sagat gets roll crossups, but I don’t think you’ll gain much else.
I’d go as far as to say K is a better beginner groove than N. Not having to worry about building meter and allowing yourself to random super without throwing away a lot of work in the process sounds like easy-operation to me. Also, accidental jd’s > accidental counter roll 
Eh,I don’t really like K groove though.You take damage trying to build it up.
your not suppose to take damage to build bar, your suppose to JD and build bar. taking hits just helps build bar like majority of grooves when you get hit you gain bar. the only difference is that when taking damage in K-groove you gain a LOT of bar.
