I would pick Moriggan over Yuri, but IMO I would play that team as k-ken, sagat, cammy. But play around with characters in k-groove and see what you like, then try and decide what characters you would like to incorparate in your team.
try this k-rock, ken/kyo, cammy r2. Its alot easier if you named some characters you wish to put in your team that you like playing.
Really it comes down to how comfortable i am with the character, and the only characters i’m really comfortable with are Akuma, Cammy, Ken and Morrigan. Akuma isn’t all that good in cvs2 imo, and I find myself unable to punish when I want to with morrigan. I haven’t had a whole lot of time to play around with everyone, but some have suggested different characters to me. (Kyo, Rock, Sagat the fa…) My only real hangup here is that I need that elusive 2nd slot to be filled. My drawback is that i’m only familiar with the capcom and the samurai showdown characters. Just wanting to narrow my choices and was hoping people would toss out some names.
I would take Akuma over Moriggan anyday, watch videos of a guy named ohnuki playing Akuma, Chun, Sagat and you see why I like Akuma. But I don’t play him seriously since I’m not great with him but fun to play with. And he can’t take hits for shit either. Well considering you have CvS2 on console practice them and see what you like, the wiki/forums have all the BnBs for each character.
Both Akuma & Morrigan have low stamina and both of them would be better in a groove with roll (preferably N). I’d pick Akuma over Morrigan because he has a better offense, IMO. Morrigan does have that nasty cross-up but Akuma has more options, both offensively and defensively.
About that Mai/Hibiki/Cammy team I mentioned earlier, I appreciate the replies. I’ve been having fun with it. Looks like a team I could use in pretty much any groove. Of course, I don’t expect to win any tournaments with it, but it seems to be a fun team to use in casuals.
I’d probably put Rolento in the middle. Hibiki would probably be your best bet as anchor, Vega would be 2nd best. Most teams have Sagat or Blanka as their anchor and Hibiki has good matches against both of them. Vega up front as battery works good vs Sakura or Honda.
I think there’s a couple weaknesses on this team. A-Bison and K-Cammy seem to work good against all your characters. You just have to be a little careful against those two.
Hmmm, I enjoy playing this game alot, but I’ve come across a sort of, problem.
I just don’t know who to use anymore.
Yeah I know play for fun and shit, but I’d like to win, and the teams I play for fun are like crap and I don’t win half the time with them.
Granted I can now almost consistantly RC elec., and shoshosho, I just don’t enjoy playing as them.
The question now is, play to win, or play to have fun and lose half the time…
Maybe I should learn Paint and make my team A-Yuri, Bison, Eagle, or re-learn K-Rugal, Yama, Geese.
That’s pretty much John Choi’s team. It is great if you put Sagat at the end, he makes a better overall finisher than Ken. Having Ken in the middle is good too, because he can use super meter really well to land the Shoryureppa (multiple uppercut super).
I recommend that you train up an additional middle character like Chun-Li, because certain characters like Hibiki and Vega/Claw will give your team a hard time.
Im getting a little bit fed up of Kgroove lately. Ive kind of moved from a fast paced player to a lazy/turtle gameplan over the last year or 2. If I wanted to turtle up, what would be a good team to go with? I want to store super now, thats pretty important to me. No time limits, so pretty much C or P groove. I cant do the good custom combos consistantly enough and I dont RC
Oh and Im not a fan of Honda!
So yeah, I need to know a great team for turtling, and whether there might be any real advantages for choosing P over C going when going for a 100% turtling gameplan.
You could put Guile first instead of Vega (Honda would be a good option too, even if you don’t like him). Putting Blanka as anchor and Sagat in the middle works well too, depending on your preferences and/or match-ups. You could also replace basically anyone in that team with Cammy, but I’m not really crazy about Cammy in C. I don’t see much point in choosing P over C, even if you’re playing a defensive team. C builds meter faster, has roll/RC, airblock, etc.
I’ve been thinking about playing one of the “Bite off of Choi” team varients in C.
Something like Blanka/Chun/Sagat, maybe something like that would work for you KneelB4Me.
If you don’t care about meter, then I’d suiggest going with FSgamer’s suggestion. Otherwise Blanka is potentially sitting on meter that could be used by someone like Chun or even Guile.
